I was randomly going through ebay and saw this picture.

Goof, I didn't know you were selling bumpers on ebay?

I ran into the same ad just an hour ago. Do they have permission to use this photo? How about the photographer who took the photo, did they get his permission too? If not, seek legal action.

That's the internet for you. Chances are the person who listed that item has no idea who shoot the picture or who owns the car. Google images is most likely where it came from.

Didn't a former vendor sell one that looked like the SL2? I remember that car in another thread here stating that his wasn't an SL2 but was XXXXX branded front bumper.

The seller might not even be located in the US. Good luck with suing him/her

^it's a new body kit company based out in CA. Grabbing images from Google is no excuse, any company with half a brain should know that this is copyright infringement. Then again, most believe that with the internet being so vast and large, no one would ever catch them. Little do they know, there's a Firefox add-in (I believe it's called Eye-Q or something) that basically does a "Google search" via image pixels and can list every source & URL the image is used on. You'd be amazed at what a simple search can give you if you suspect your pictures are being illegally used w/o authorization.
