Here is my review of Pub Dog:

Location: Not very central for all of Mid-A (note I live 45+ min away so anyone in NOVA is pretty much not invited.)

Parking: Decent the nights Ive been there

Atmosphere:About Average for a Bar

Seating: ok to groups of 6 or less

Drink Prices: Fair

Food Quality: Below Average

Would I go there Again? Yes not my first pick tho

...So no one wants to really go out on Thursday?

I also wouldn't mind Fuddruckers, but it seems kinda last minute for this weekend.

And to be honest, I absolutely agree with Jeffie's notion of it being too loud at places like Pub Dog. It would be better to go someplace where everybody could be heard.

seems like the majority of owners is in the Baltimore/Laurel area or the Potomac Mills/Woodbridge area... nothing in-between.

From what I've noticed:

Everytime we have a bmore or laurel meet, no one from VA comes and/or whines about the driving distance.
Everytime we have a VA Kingstowne/CFA meet, no one from MD comes and/or whines about the driving distance.
Everytime we've planned a Rockville/Tysons (central to both locations) only 2-3 folks show up. The rest are still whining about the driving distance because 20 mins is considered "too far," and/or b!tchin' about the cost of rising gas prices.

Folks not driving their car is but one issue, but not wanting to drive period/too broke to drive is another.

Suggestion on meets, do a meet on the 3rd Friday/Sat of every month rotating between the two central places. This will provide budgeting for people who live paycheck to paycheck and people to know in advance that this is something that is set up.

Goof, do you eat the pizza before or after you're trashed? I'm pretty sure its frozen pizza crust that reminds me of crackers, with a crap sauce and cheap cheese on top.

Based on clays pizza I would rather eat 7 elven pizza any day over pubdogs. At least with 7/11 pizza I get what I pay for.

Why dont we go to NVA to Edin and do a deli bunh mi meet or ba le for some bunh mi and ca phe.

We could do another fuddruckers meet in columbia or Annapolis.

Chipotle Meet

I wouldn't mind doing a legit hispanic joint in Laurel meet.

Lots of options,

We don't always have to do a bar. Union Jacks I might show up to but Pubdog. I'm out.

lol i like to drink because im so wrapped up in so many different things i wanna just let loose some times.

I really dont care about going to pubs, I like union jacks, and ill go anywhere. Most of the times i go to these places on my own anyways.

Jeffie is gay he would rather eat sushi and take homo pics of everyone when they arent paying attention than go have some drinks and just BS and laugh all night. I can see why he doesnt really like bars he never drinks, I wouldnt want to be around a group of crazy drunks when Im sober either...

I like the pie at Pubdog, its cheap and to me, its good and diverse. Pizza + beer is my favorite past time!

Shin-nobody wants to hang out with somebody that doesnt run 13's, sorry brah....

I did go to Union Jacks 1x, and I did like it, Id be down to switch up the scene to there a while.

In all seriousness as long as Jeffie doesnt bring his fawking camera Id be down to go to his Hispanic place in Laurel for food.

all this talk of food and drinks is fine, always a good time, but back in the day we actually had meets.... and afterwords a decision was made on what to do (i.e get food or cruise)

It would be nice to actually bring back the meet aspect, it would also be nice to start up things like cruises ( skyline drive cruise for example) and track meets (like the old mason ones) also things like the OC car show (i.e rice weekend ha(

as for driving distance I agree this is a deciding factor for many, which is too bad, I am in Rockville and have been to all over this season alone. Average drive time for me is about 30-40 minutes depending on the location.

as for the Pub Dog thing I like it because drinks are very reasonable(especially compared to DC where I normally go out)..... also the pizza is good....its a Pizza place not a freaking gourmet... just keep that in mind.

However on those occasions where we are meeting up solely to eat and B.S I am good with just about anywhere.

Damn near everyplace in Maryland is cheaper then the places you go in DC.

I tend to work late on Fridays so unless its after 9 they're hard for me to make. Saturdays are pretty open for the most part.

Alberto, for the most part I don't do anything with my Camera but shoot zain. =)

+1 on me not being a big drinker. I don't have a lot of free time and when I lose a day due to feeling like total ****, it really pisses me off. We had such a great ridding day last Sunday, I wish you could have joined us, but you were hung over. =(

The main issue with Mid A meets that I see is...

*Meet tomorrow night!!!!!!*

or

*Hey I'm going to x bar on Friday, be there!!!!!*

I agree with Scott, it shuold be once or twice a month and a set day.

It's cool having little things here and there where people can just meet up last minute but most people on this forum are no longer 21 and have real jobs and a life that takes up most of their time. Doing last minute meets are as easy for people as they use to be.

So if someone post a meet 2-3 days out and no one shows up. What do you expect?

Last time I did the Fuddruckers meet thing I posted it 10? days out? maybe 14? I thought we had a great showing.

Both Charles and Dave showed up. you can't ask for much more then that. Even the riceboy king himself showed up. Although w/o fries =(

FTR, I've eaten P-dog's pizza before and it was ok. I figured I'd try something new that night [on ex-Mrs. Kyle's recommendation] and it really wasn't that good. Matter of fact if I wouldn't have rolled out when I did, there might have been three folks who vomited in the bar that night.
The Fudd's meet was cool since like Jeff said we could at least hear each other, and I think Hraes showed up too.
The good thing about this group is [IMHO] we all may have initially connected over the cars, but I actually like alot of folks in here regardless of what's parked outside or not. That's what'll keep this group together, because I've seen quite a few guys in other forums give that "I sold my car and my wife/kid won't let me come outside anymore" story.

Folks with decent cleavage and vaginas tend to skew my decisions.

As the 350Z G35 gets older, it gets less expensive. The opens ownership to younger members. Young members are less committed than more mature members.

We have been busted out of "traditional" get-togethers such as Skyline drive.

Cops everywhere are less tolerant of meets in public parking with any more than 5 vehicles. Not worth the hassle.

"350Z only drag racing" (where we rent the track for a night) has gotten too expensive. Remember when we were doing Mason Dixon for $40/car? Last time we tried it the price was $70.
