It has been a hot and humid summer but we are wishing that mother nature will give us a break in hopes that all the car enthusiasts of the Mid Atlantic region will come out from their hiding. Pull off those car covers, turn the key to hear the sound of that beast that you have been building for the past couple of months, and head on over to the Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET Summer Show at Dash Motors & Performance (8132 Sudley Road, Manassas, Virginia 20109) on Sunday, August 28th from 12-5 pm. There will be live DJ performances by LJ MTX and DJ Jon Deke, media coverage by Mischief.tv, and food vendors. Admission is free so bring the entire family but we ask that only modified cars park on the dealership property (space is limited). There is plenty of parking at the surrounding businesses and we recommend showing up early in order to get a good parking spot.

I might have to attend this one, looks like a great turn out. I will also see if I can work a connection to get an Indy Car and some girls to go with it.

Will do, it usually comes with a checker flag floor and some other banners and such, but the display can be scaled down or up depending space allowed. The simplest would be the floor and a stand for handouts, if its out in the sun, they might want to include a tent for the girls/volunteers that stand guard.

I'll PM you the car's event manager's email. I sent her an email with numerous event suggestions and that was the only one for that day. Just a heads up, don't be shocked if its gonna cost. How much? I don't know, but I know they get paid to show up at certain events.

 

I got your PM and thanks so much for the information. I am going to contact her today and hopefully can work something out. There is actually a covered car port area right in front of the service garage doors at the front of the building that is a perfect location to display the car. I will let you know via PM what we get figured out.

Looks like things got worked out, I saw the event update this morning on the volunteer calendar. The showcar and checkered flag girls will be in attendance!

I'll bring my G35 as well and support the car and girls.

 

Yes it did and thanks again for getting me in contact with the right people. We are working on getting the information onto our flyer now and then will be announcing it on all of the forums. Looking forward to meeting you on the 28th (I will most likely be the only guy wearing a Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET t-shirt).

It has been confirmed that the Baltimore Grand Prix will be attending the event! Make sure to stop by and check out their Indy show car and get a picture with the checkered flag girls that will be accompanying it. They will also be selling tickets to the upcoming race and official BGP merchandise. Below is a overview of the race and please visit their website for more information - www.baltimoregrandprix.com.
