Default Going to the stealership tomorrow about TPMS

Folks, I recently had one of my tires plugged because of a nail and now the tire sensor refuses to turn off (after several days and miles of driving). From my Google machine, I gather that the only way to get the sensor reset is to visit my friendly neighborhood stealership.

Before I do, it's worth consulting you all to see if there's anything I can do beforehand or something I should know beforehand. I've already tried to deflate and inflate the tire again to no avail.

There is a TPMS reset procedure in the do it yourself section. I had to do it a couple of weeks ago, took me about 15 minutes. You'll need a paper clip, some wire, and the ability to contort yourself in a strange position while looking for the TPMS reset wire under the passenger side dashboard.

Here it is: TPMS reset

The battery thing is a good idea, never thought of it. Will try tonight.

Also, the wire under the dash thing sounds interesting and worth a try. Thanks.

Go to discount tire and ask them to reset your TPMS. It's free and they will check all your tire pressures first!
