Dang, I wish I could have gone. I think I might have been able to get that 12.9. My car is only about 2990lbs without the pass seat and low on gas.

 

Looks like the DA was between negative 500-600 the whole day...can't do too much better than that.

 

Anyone want to go one of the next few weekends to the T&T...weather permitting?

I keed brother... more runs in the 13's than over for the day I believe.

Zain was solid with 12.4X over and over. Possibly one Z fatality where the driver (don't know his name) forgot to change maps before spraying. Anyone know if the car started again and was he able to drive home?

Russ has a slip from the Sonata and Slim had some nice runs in the Subie as well.

Today was my first time ever at the drags and I felt like a kid in a candy store. So many loud and fast cars rolling around and laying it down on the track. I never understood the allure of the track, but after today I can fully see how guys keep it off the street and take it to the strip. Wish I would have had a chance to test my old TT setup at the 1/4 mile before it perished.

I can't wait to try it for myself next spring, although I would want a much smaller crowd around while I attempt to learn how to launch properly. A clutch that is slipping when I mash the 1-2 shift kept me on the sidelines today, plus I decided that breaking the car so soon again would crush my soul

This was my 8th run and best. I got 11.99 a couple runs later. The rest were 12.0 - 12.4 at similar trap speeds but banged redline or botched launch.

Also Russ ran a 14.3 or so I believe and trapped 99mph, pretty good

AJ got a whole lot of use out of that motor...

Just like mine...it has been running on borrowed time IMO. Luckily the motors (DE) are cheap for our cars...

 

So the motor is done. I felt the power drop off after the 1/8 mile then the check engine light blinked and thats when I let off deactivated the nitrous and purged the lines. Couldnt really tell if it was knocking because I turned the car off as soon as I saw all the white smoke behind me. We got it started one last time and it was knocking ftl. All I had to do was hit 2 buttons and my car would still be running right now smh. I've been searching for motors since I been home and going to start pulling it tomorrow. I did end up running 12.4 on street tires while blowing the motor lol. Anybody get a video of the run?

We tried to line up two times, and every time we did, somebody's car broke down and they only ran one lane.

 

Sorry about the motor. You will have a new motor for Maryland International Raceway Import vs Domestic Day next year. And run all-motor 6 cylinder class not this crazy 6 cylinder with power adder class.
