Have a prior engagement that day, but just out of curiosity... if I have an LS2 swapped 350Z, am I an import or a domestic in the eyes of the track?

Import. They have different classes for engine swaps, power adders, etc.

This two day race has become less popular with 350Z racers over the past several years. In 2009 it went from one to two days. Before 2009 it could turn into a 14 hour plus race day. Thats a long day. If you are racing my advise:

Days are still long. Figure 12 hours with maybe 3 runs. Plenty of time between runs to kill.

Study the classes BEFORE registering. Tech inspection will bump you out of a class for obvious reasons, but probably not advise on the best class for your car. Thats not their job.

Patience. Patience. Patience. The drag strip will be packed with fanboys, wannabe-racers and jerks. Expect to return to your pit parking after a run, and find a car in your place. Many new racers are just not aware of courtesy rules. Others are just jerks.

Interesting...I'm not racing, I just wanna go see some cars. There are dbags in every crowd, the trick is not to give in and stoop to their level.

You gunna be there davidv? I never hear about you going to any events, how come br0? Sucks to see there aren't alot of people attending from this forum
