First meet of the New Year (01/14/12)
I couldnt believe it when you said "I thought you were black". It was f'ing hysterical because E10 said the same thing to me a year ago.

Just my 0.2, [because I'm having too much fun just reading the pwnage] but didn't we JUST HAVE A MEET? 
Winter's coming and like someone said most of us are down for the season. Only reason my car has moved from it's spot is because I'm getting my hood fixed.
All this begging folks to come out just so it can appear that you actually have a social life comes off as mad thirsty IMHO. If there's a reason and a place to go...fine. But my God, give it a rest already. We've got the whole year to plan meets, cruises, BBQs, etc... It's just making you look a little pathetic.
BTW, the DC Auto Show is the last week of this month. I was gonna meet up with Heather and Rob but if anyone else wants to trek into DC, look at some new cars and maybe grab drinks/food I'm definitely down. [and no, there won't be a "Hey Guys, Let's All Go to the Auto Show" thread either]

Yea Shin just think THRU the details for a meet. Don't ask for suggestions in a meet invite thread. If you're gonna start a meet, do all the leg work THEN create a thread. Don't say "we'll figure out" or ask "when are you guys available?" or "what time is good for you guys?"
Simply state...
WHEN? WHERE? WHY? WHO? WHAT?
The right details will generate interest.
Look at how many uncertain words you used... How could anyone take your invite seriously? It's almost like saying... hey I'm free next weekend one of yall start something and plan it.

Hey, I was trying to get another meet going next weekend. I already spoke to Alberto about it, he said he'd be down depending on his schedule. The final location will probably be disclosed via text message. I put that there cause I don't want certain people to go to the wrong place (ahemZS).
But who knows? Maybe if you get lucky you'll get invited this time.

So you already proved my point. You didn't do enough leg work before you created a thread to invite everyone ELSE. Generally you want to have a reason (which it seems like you do?), and also an initial crowd that you know would attend for sure. Like you can hit me or a few others privately and ask if we are interested in getting together this time this date and do this and that. And if u get that 3, 4 heads that want to do it, THEN start a thread. Otherwise your thread would just end up being another "lets maybe try to see if whether people might want to get together depending on if someone trying to get together" meet.
