[NSFW] Mid-A Epic Random-ness: Third Encounter
Just saw this on Twitter: "US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta removes military ban on women in combat, opening thousands of front line positions."
Just wondering if any enlisted/former enlisted or civilians who currently work with the military had any thoughts??? [Also wanted to steer the thread in a different direction before it crashed again]

Seeing as how I live in a shared condo community, I'm sure myself and quite a few others would be concerned. But given your current driving history, it really wouldn't surprise me at all.
Eh if thats how it is Throw them in the draft. Also I wasnt aware they are not allowed in the front lines. Working in the tech career field we didnt have to many girls and dont really go to the front lines, more on convoys and ****.

Luckily, the only desert I saw when I was enlisted was the Mojave for training during the very 1st Gulf War.
I figure as long as you pull your own weight and can fire your weapon straight...
But I only skimmed this and can't wait to see if this becomes a big news item soon.
