[NSFW] Mid-A Epic Random-ness: Third Encounter
Alberto did you see that someone in Maryland is proposing a bill where Marylanders will need to register their hand guns every 5 years at $100 a pop.
5 hand guns means $500 every 5 years.
Freedom to own guns. But it will cost you. Yup helps the gun problem......
Hopefully it will get shot down ASAP.

Everyone in Maryland should make a point to go here and fire off an email or call them directly.

Been AWOL the past few days and just caught up.
I'm glad Bert saves texts, makes it a lot harder to deny claims with the evidence staring you right in the face.
I know "someone" won't learn from this experience, but at this point who even cares anymore?
BTW, the DC Auto Show is next month. Anyone planning on going? Might be a good time for a quick meet and greet and chance to grab food and drinks downtown?

BTW, there was an article in today's Metro paper about how the advances we're continuing to make in technology are helping to phase out and eventually eliminate certain jobs and specialties. [secretaries, meter readers, etc...] Just thought it was a weird coincidence reading that this morning and then seeing it pop up again in this thread.

I do not know why people have a hard time accepting that guns should be either banned or heavily controlled.
I am not promoting that crap about the $100 fee. That is just to make money like everything else. But guns should have more regulations due to the amount of damage a single person can cause with it.
I have been saying the same crap about driving licenses and their exams.... but nobody has heard me yet.

Why should guns be banned from law abiding, mentally healthy citizens?
You think one guy with a gun can shoot more people in 10 seconds than Someone driving a dump truck into a school playground?

Said it before and I'll say it again: this is less to do with GUNS and everything to do with MENTAL HEALTH issues. And criminals don't adhere to gun laws or any other laws for that matter. Forcing law-abiding citizens to follow more restrictions or hitting them in the pockets only fans the flames of the "Obama Done took yer gunz" nutcases out there.
Just my two pesos, but Adam Lanza(sp?) and this kid below had obvious mental issues that no one seemed too concerned with until after the fact.

Mental health is the true issue, and proper weapon storage. I dont store my weapons locked up but I do not have anyone younger then me at the house nor do I have any unstable people at the house. So its all about having the proper person possessing a gun.
OMG ASSAULT TYPE WEAPON!!!
