Cliff Notes: Almost run off road by guy in new G37.... think he may have hit my fender... guy tries to run.....starts driving like a maniac...I let him go for safety of others.....get to work no damage to car.

Decided to drive the Vette to work today to enjoy the weather...about 15 minutes into my drive I am cruising around 50mph on a 2 lane road when a new G37 is aggressively exiting the on ramp...

I notice his speed and next thing I know he cuts over 2 lanes without even looking and nearly runs me off the damn road... I had to slam on my brakes (almost to the point of locking them up) and thought I heard him hit my front fender...

well he must have heard the same thing, because after he swerved over a lane he takes off... and I'm thinking WTF did this guy just hit me....

I easily reeled him back (wanted to get a look at his plates, but my pos car is still limited to 80mph).. well this a**hat begins driving like a maniac, even tries to fake me out by jumping off exits and bailing at the last minute...

Obviously at this point I am very heated..but I also know that we will be approaching a high traffic zone soon and I did not like the way this guy was driving.

He goes for one last fake out exit onto 495 (at this point I have dropped back about 4-5 cars) and I just take the exit... sure enough he swerves off it at the last minute.. and I just continue onto 495 and head to work. get to work no damage luckily

Did the guy drop his plates before leaving? If so, sounds familiar...

Glad no damage to you or the car though.

OG in the past has given wounded warriors some further discounted prices in the past. Brian Hair, one of the guys there, ran one lap of america with Liam Dwyer this year (another wounded vet). That said, I ****ing hate harnesses in street cars.

Zain and I have been discussing the pros and cons about getting them...

I would probably pick 2 harnesses and a graffiti motorsports harness bar from Enjuku racing if they still have them...

http://www.enjukuracing.com/products...SSAN-350Z.html

I actually purchased a pair of racetech 6pt harnesses from another member but they were lost in transit and I ended up getting my money back. I have no real need for them however my seatbelt is worn to the point where it doesn't retract...

The plan is to go to OG Racing tomorrow afternoon and check out the quality/options in person. Anybody else wanna tag along, txt me.

I may/may not get them, but I need to do something about it asap

Yea you might as well take a look at them and see how you feel about it.

Mike I agree about the harnesses in street cars, but purely from a safety stand point (.i.e the potential to sever your spine in a collision/ roll over).

That being said plenty of ricers run them on the street everyday so it's really up to the user. For me harness + street = no thanks.

Says the guy who said he wouldn't run fixed back seats on the street either.

Lol I was waiting for Alberto to chime in.

Now that I think about it, 400 in harnesses + 500 harness bar= 900 I would save for other stuff...

I'll just order the oem replacement instead and save my *coin worth 5 cents *

So I'm finally getting my trans replaced, I'm dropping it off in the a.m. Finger's crossed the repair bill isn't as steep as the previous shop had quoted me... Not gonna let them touch anything unless they can guarantee that the quote isn't too far from the actual bill...
