Man above me. I've got a project for you, from time to time I will force myself to do something music wise no matter if I like it or not just so learn from it.

Here's a cool project you could work on.

Rules would be, making everything from scratch, not pulling any sound clips from the video. Redoing the music from this video from start to finish making a point to do 100% of the stuff yourself.

I would be a great learning experience and shouldn't be too hard for you to do.
Plus if its done well, you should get a lot of youtube views out of it. It's only 30 seconds so it shouldn't take too much time to do.

 

I would have to see if I have the instruments...most of my actual instruments are drums.

But I'll give it a shot anyway.

 

Drums
Bass
EP (electric piano)

and a little bit of snyth/strings at the end.

Fruity loops will come with everything you need to do that, its a VERY simple track.

Edit, hands down the hardest part will be the drums, its a legit funk style drum.

I was trying to keep up to still hear it. Couldn't down shift since I had my camera in my right hand. I was in 6th gear at about 3,500 rpm.

 

I suppose he was cruising, then as soon as I pointed the camera at him and singled him to go ahead he went for it. Nice guy.

 

Real racers don't need to use their right hand to shift. They just mash the throttle and the car automaticity shifts.

 

Real racers actually race. Doesn't matter if it's automatic, semi automatic, manual, sequential manual, or whatever..
