Browns Nissan in Fairfax, Va just sent me a letter
On the flip side, if you go in and they are willing to give you the 125% KBB offer on trade in towards another car, they will not wheel and deal with you a dime on the price of the new car.
Go in with money in hand and chances are they'll drop 2-3-4-5-6K off the price of the car to make a deal.
They will make their money somehow.

Those letters are nothing more than dealership marketing scams. I got a letter Saturday from the Dodge dealer wanting to buy back my 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan. They would buy the car outright or give me outstanding trade in value on a new van. Yeah, right...............I tossed the letter in the trash.
I have dealt with all of the local dealers in my area and have gotten that kind of letter form all of them.
The one I bought my car from which I would sooner eat a bug than deal with have called several times and I have asked them to delete me from their system every time.
