Thank you guys, this is a bit scary. The guy is using the original MasterGrade shop car and my car for his photos. He is also selling the kit at a low, sell fast price. He did not answer when I called.

AK would be too nice...

It may be that the CL guy just "borrowed" the pics, rather than posting some of the uninstalled parts. Fairly common thing. Worth investigating, but I wouldn't send the lynch mob out just yet.

Sorry for the loss of the car, though. I know what you're going through. having lost a fully-restored Jag XKE about 20 years ago, only to eventually discover it had been cut up for parts and was unsalvageable. I'd still kill the thief, providing I ever get diagnosed with a terminal disease and have nothing to lose.

fwd that # to the NJ police department to have them investigate. Though I find it hard to imagine someone would take their time to physically cut the kit off of your car in order to try to sell it. Then again, not a coincidence that a kit like this appears on craigslist just a week after the car was stolen.

How do people know they have the only one of something in an entire region?

Don't know if someone already messaged you about this add but here it is. Let the owner know if he doesn't already. http://southjersey.craigslist.org/pts/3680445007.html

I wouldn't update anything on here until I actually found the car. The guy probably knows about this forum. A smart thief would at least...

Actually, a smart thief would post something like that on Craigslist in the same area as the original job to throw the local detectives onto a false trail while they shipped it to another region or stripped and parted out the car.

But we also have to think, this thief stole this man's car. They can't be very intelligent in the first place, they are the lowest of the low. F*cking scum.

I think its safe to rule out that these kind of thieves aren't that smart. I could be wrong, usually am but thieves generally don't think ahead.

A smart thief wouldn't need to steal a car to make money...

So what the background story on your car OP?

I'm gonna go ahead and guess you never drive it since no one has seen or heard about it until it was stolen.

How long was it sitting in the said garage before someone decided to take your car?

Did you have an alarm on your car? Do you have access to security cameras at the garage it was taken from?

Just trying to understand the circumstances behind your story
