IIRC in that famous cam shootout they were outperformed by the s1 cams. I believe they made 2-3whp more up top but were outperformed in the low and mid range...noticeably. I am wondering how the 256 tomeis would fare against the s1 cam...in theory they should be a much broader bump in power.

Edit: didn't click he had a high rev, I have no idea on what cam does what in that case.

So you think I could get more with the mods I have? Better tuning you mean?

No, no.

It sounded like you said that your HP is the most you can get on an N/A. But that is far from true. You can increase that number by a lot with a few other mods.

So what else other than the cams? Also since you guys look liek you know what your talking about; I just strip one of my axles after just 5 passes on the 1/8 strip. Will have to replace it with the stock for now, but what would you guys recomend, not just for the axles but to have a safe track day without having to be towed back home lol. Thryng to get an estimate of all the parts I'm getting for next summer
Thanks.

I am at same power level and was pulling 1.7 60' 15+ passes in the 1/8 mile and ran 8.3 with slicks and stock axles and no problem. Sounds like you need to practice launching.

Do you know if the axles are the same for the M/T and the A/T?

Read these launch tips, they apply to all MT cars. http://www.rangeracceleration.com/Launch_Tips.html

Also if you ever feel wheel hop get off the gas..wheel hop = broken parts and a bad day.

Solid differential bushings will help eliminate wheel hop
