Hey Victor 350GTR retort question
I have the R&T issue with the article about the 350Z factory racer, I never saw a retort in the following issue(s) can you tell where you saw that?
The writer was the same author who test drove the 350Z several months prior to any of the Magazines even having an article much less a test drive, I think his name is Sam something, anyhow Im surprised about the retort as I belive him to be a solid resource.
And what is that cool track in OK, which has driver education where in the past Z cars have frequented?
Thanks,
Ed

The R & T blurp about the GT car costing "$75,000" was a major misprint or bad information. I know for a fact that the 350 Z GT car cost about $300,000 and they want to sell it for more.
To compare a new Porsche GT3 RS is about $245,000 and the Ferrari 360 GT is $400,000
As far as racing in the ALMS next year with it...dont hold your breath. It could still be possible but..........very slimm at this moment.
Our car that we are running in Grand Am cup GS2 next year, was the first car in the US to be set up for professional racing. We tested it at Daytona about a month ago and are going back down the first week in Jan.

75K sounded a little too inexpensive, but 300K? more expensive than a Porsche?
I sure was looking forward to seeing the 350 based racer in ALMS.
Cheers,
Ed.
