Default Race night!!

A friend of mine at work was telling me about a group of car people that would hang out at a car wash on Thursday nights and do races down the road a bit and stuff, so I decided to check it out.

First car I see is a Turboed Eclipse (extremely riced), and then an Accent. (Also extremely riced.) I didn't snicker and drive on by, as was my first inclination, due to the 2 hotties that were hanging around there as well.

So I pulled over and parked, and they of course oooohed and aaaahed over the Z. After ********ting for a bit, a domestic shows up, a 2000 SS Camaro. (It's not IROC-Z anymore, is it? I don't know F-bodies that well...all I know is this thing looked like a Camaro and had SS on the side.)

So I figure, WTF, I wanna race, win or lose, don't matter to me, I just wanna race. I ask the SS if he's up for it, and he's like sure. So we head down to the "race" street (a surprisingly deserted 4 lane road) and take off the first time from a rolling start at 15 MPH.

I **** up and miss 3rd and go to 5th (is anyone else noticing 3rd can be a bit tricky or is this just me?), and he of course takes me. (Note: I'm not going to sit here and spin ******** and say I'm a perfect racer or the Z won every race, I'm keeping it real.)

2nd race: We start from a dead stop, he spins a bit during launch, I *don't*, and I also DON'T miss third this time. I had him by a nice margin.

3rd race: We start from a roll again, and even though I'm right beside him for a little bit, he eventually pulls away, winning, but not by much.

We give each other props and ****, and he fully admits that I'll get him every time off the line, but he'll always get me on the roll, and I concur.

The riced out turboed Eclipse didn't want to bother racing as he said he only gets about 230 hp with his turbo, and the Accent driver finally stopped pressing me for a race after I convinced him to stop smoking crack.

(Okay, I'm kidding about the Accent driver, he didn't ask race)

All in all, my first "official" racing night was pretty fun. I'm sure more people will show up in the summer, but I'll be in Dallas by then. Abyss, TXSTYLE, or SkidaZZle, one of you needs to show me where the races are held in Dallas, cuz that **** is FUN!
