Default Need Solo2 favor

I am seriously looking at purchasing a 350Z Track to use exclusively for Solo2 autocross events.

I was wondering if someone with an unmodified 350Z Track could time some 2nd gear 30 - 50 mph pulls. Typically done on a flat, level road safe from traffic and the law. Start accelerating WOT in 2nd gear at 20 mph and the stop/start a stop watch at 30 & 50 mph.

Since this will be used exclusively for autox I want to get some confidence in the 350Z's ability to compete against an S2000 before signing on the dotted line

ps: anyone know the 18" Track wheel offsets?

TIA,

350zzrule,

just ignore negcamber

We ran some 30-50mph tests in a friends 350Z Enthusiast and got 2.19 sec consistently. Not a Track, but hope that helps.

Supposedly the Track is 150# heavier and people are choosing the Enthusiast model for Solo2 instead

Team,

thanx, but I specifically want to see the Track #'s.

I cannot believe the Track is that much heavier. I can see a E-model being that weight, but Nissan's data says only 27# difference with a 1/2" wider rear wheel. I cannot see what would make a Track weigh that much more. Do you know?

thank you,

Where are you getting the 150# number? I show the enthusiast weighing 3197 and the track 3225 which is a difference of 28#. FYI base is 3188, Performance is 3217 and touring is the heaviest at 3247.

Track gets the wider wheels and the aero package. 28# isn't much and I imagine I make that up in my weight.

That's what I was told, not sure if I agree, but I haven't actually weighed any yet either. I'm thinking that's not correct now, maybe somebody had a full tank of gas vs a low tank.

The weights claimed for the Enthusiast they own jive with the Nissan data, so that makes me think that the Track would be close to Nissan's data too. I can't understand what the Track model has that would make it substantially heavier (150#) than the Enthusiast. The difference in the Nissan data makes sense, as the Track has some features over the Enthusiast that would add some weight.

If I were to buy a 350Z I think I 'd want the biggest wheels possible, the 350Z's weight is it's weakest point and I'd want to spread that over the biggest footprint possible.
