350 z???? Vs slovette
350 Z's are way too Sloooooooooooooow................from a dead stop to 100 .........
from a roll to 130 it will be like 2 or 3 city blocks........I wish I can get one of you guys to play with the slovette one day....

whats the matter? started yankin the fire hose and realized it was more of a straw? so you decided to head over here and make yourself feel like a man?well have fun, nice car too. the Z06 is insane, just a bit above my budget.

wanna race my crx? how would you feel to be walked by a 4 cylinder?
oh yeah, just an additional comment. i had a 2k1 millenium yellow z06 for 6 months. i got rid of it for the Z, you want to know why? because of the fact that so many people are having the rear axle lock up on them for no apparant reason and chevrolet doesn't feel like recalling them to fix the issue. not just that but it overheated 1 too many times at a few local events. couldn't you afford the z06. i mean if you think your car is all badass enough to come on here talking smack then why the **** aren't you driving a z06 instead of a base c5.
i got 5 dimes on my crx that i will walk you. can you handle that?

Hey, if you really want a challenge, I can you up against a 10 sec all motor C5 if you'd really like. How about a Z06 with a Procharger? Hmm... How about a couple bikes?

a CRX is an early 90s honda civic basicly, weighs around 2000lbs, 4 cylinder motor, a little work and they are unstoppable due to sheer weight advantage. have fun with him.

The problem with Vettes
Here is the problem with Vettes...and I actually like the Z06...but ONLY the Z06!
They are good looking fast cars, especially in yellow (my fave).
However, I test drove a Z06 as well as a C5 while shopping for my Z.
Here are the reasons I poo pooed the Vette:
1) Its a Chevy......no matter how good it looks or performs its still a Chevy. No thorobred here...(yes I spelled it wrong).
2) The standard transmission SUCKS...no short throw shifter in the Vette! Its more like an 18 wheelers!
How anyone in a standard transmission in a vette could even beat a MoPed Scooter is beyond me. Superior driving skills maybe?
3) The interior is CHEESY..maybe it impresses "Trailer Trash or ex. Trailer Trash, or people from states of 17 million people sharing 5 last names" but it sure dont impress me.
4) For the same money, a BMW M3 can smoke a C5 and a Z06.
Why? 340hp and the best SMP Formula 1 style standard transmission out there.
Not a flame against Vettes...but they NEED IMPROVEMENT!

I agree about the interior, chevy could have done a better job, but oh well...
BMW did not meet the horsepower with a V6 its an inline 6, and its not underrated, while LS1 is even in the vette, it will dyno over 300 to the wheels, where M3 wont..
A vette might be a chevy, but go to europe and everybody, i mean everybody will choose it over the M3 the Z and pretty much anything else within the same price/type of car...
Please put the magazine down and go into the real world and get some experiences before talking about things u have no idea about...
