The Z is probably the only one stock. The RSX-s says that it has intake/header and hondata(which is an ecu something or other).

Now that i've seen the video - it's tough to say that the RSX is really that close. Maybe I just can't tell, but the angle doesn't show a true reflection of how many car lengths the Z has on the RSX. Poor honda... =) Must have been a DX engine with turbo.

nice video.. that RSX got a terrible launch off the line, but it was fairly obvious who was eating whose lunch way to go Black Z!

a ponticac GTP.

there was at least 5 cars difference by the end of the vid between the two cars. that is roughly .5 seconds in the quater which is a significant different.

rsx-s's with hondata can hit 14.5's all day long with just a CAI. i know because i use to own one.

The RSX-S is not stock. It was CAI, Hondata, and headers. The RSX-S responds very well to Hondata (ECU). Another RSX-S has run a 13.9 in the 1/4 with these mods.

Well it suprised me a little. The Z has a defenite lead. But the RSX was pulling pretty hard.

I have driven the RSX-s and it was ok.

I am sure it is judging by the way it stayed in their for a bit, a lightly modded one or stock would have been way back on the start!

which is a fluke and in ideal conditions with everything in the rear of the car removed anda 1/4 tank of gas.

and it was a 13.85 not a 13.9

reason i call it a fluke is no one else has done it besides that one guy. and he had more mods than just the hondata and ecu.

and you forgot the tires and also the fact that he dumped the whole rear of the car. he took out the rear seats all the paneling, the spare and the jack. i dont know many people that drive around like that all the time. plus he lowered his tire pressure. i mean when we are at the track we all try to get our best times but come on you dont have time for that in the real world.

Ok, he has Falken Azenis. He gutted his car, so what? He was simply trying to get his best time so he gutted his car. Not like that's out of the ordinary.

Of course not, the Z doesn't even have backseats anyways.

My point was that he was trying to get his best time at the track, so he removed weight. You've never seen people at the track remove weight to get better times? or lower tire pressure?

Do you even know how common this is?

Do you know why people buy titanium exhausts, lighter wheels, or carbon fiber products?

A lot of people gut their cars at the track, not only to get good 1/4 mile times, but also to have a good comparison with other drivers. Almost racers gut their car when they're at the 1/4 track.

I'm guessing you've never been to a track day or a 1/4 track, or care about performance for that matter.
