civic vs rsx vs Z
no i've been to the track but not once have i gutted the car to get the best possible time out of a car. the reason being is that it's not a real representation of what the car would run normally on a daily basis. get what i'm saying now?

Most people barely use the full potential of their car on the streets. People gut their cars and lower tire pressure because they want the full potential of their cars, get it?
I ask again, you've never taken out your spare tire at a track day so that your car handles better? I mean road coarse, not 1/4.
Ahh please, everyone at the track takes out their spare tire, jack, and other crap in the trunk but that's not the same as stripping the interior of the car to get the best time possible. That's just lame, that doesn't represent the actual car at all. Why don't ya take off the hood, doors, and trunk lid while you're at it.

The guy had a hell of a time putting it back together. But she ran 13's..

...I think the point he's trying to make is that the 13 sec time slip is not something you'll expect from the average street driven RSX-S with those mods...that's all. However, it definately shows what the full potential of an RSX-S can be, so they're definately no pushovers (I owned one before the Z). BTW, I believe he also took his exhaust off to get those times (...hell of a cat back
)....

yes that article was a trip.
as for me yes i've been to both the local 1/8th (there is no 1/4 here) and also to a few SCCA events and not once have i ever done anything to the vehicle besides whatever was modded. i always drove with my spar/jack and all the carpeting and paneling i the car. did this hurt performance? probably but it gave me an accurate guage of what the car is meant to do stock.
