Default I enjoy the boards for the tech info.

I spent some time at Vortex when I was considering a GTI. Learned enough to be informed when going to the dealer.

I joined here a couple of weeks before buying my Z. Again, by the time I went to the dealer I knew more about options and prices than he did.

A lot of the threads are a waste of anger and passion. I enjoy most of the technical ones to learn.

I love almost any car. I have had from Pintos to Rabbits to Torinos with Clevelands to Fiats to VWs to... My latest is the Z, but I lust after some older vettes and Mustangs.

They all have a place and a value. Fix up and get them running is my therapy...

No, man, that's a great question. For me, it kinda comes from the saying, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer". Where else can people go to read about what's going on with a particular car? All you'll get at LS1.com or the Corral is, "I smoked a new Z!", and that really doesn't tell you anything about what people are doing to them, what they're running, what they're dyno-ing at, etc... So people come over here to find out that kind of stuff and get this 'You can't read until you register' BS. So they have no choice but to register. Then they're reading stuff and someone puts up some BS, and well, since they're already registered, why not reply?

And so on, and so on...

Mustangs are fast, Corvettes are faster, but I don't like either one. Somebody please enlighten me.
I'm a car fan - the 300ZX was always a favorite of mine. I thought I'd check out the 350Z boards (I also look at freshalloy.com) and came here. I had to register just to read the posts, so I might as well chime in when I think there's something worth saying or correcting. If you want to see a sharp dropoff in the number of non-350Z owners posting here, get your admins to drop the registration requirement - you've forced all of us out of lurk mode, so we might as well post.

I think most of the Z owners on this board are fairly cordial and polite. Sure, there are some people that don't have the best manners, but I think they are the minority. Furthermore, the moderators do a good job at keeping the the fights under control with their no BS approach to name-calling/insults. They simply yellow-card/red-card those that start fights.

That's an easy question to answer. Some people have an interest in more than 1 type of car. Where better to learn about a different car than on a message board specifically for that car?

It seems to me that the only person who has a problem on this board is 0neredline350z. Everyone else seems really cool. No matter what anyone says he decides to try and flame you.

Having said that, growing up my mother had a 90 300zxTT and I loved that car. My brother had an 84 280Z. both were great cars especially the 300Z.

I recently went to the International car show in Tampa and sat there and drooled over the new 350Z. Very awsome car that I wish I could have.

But no matter what oneredline350z or anyone else on this board says....a stock, not all, T/A can run in the 12's. It will have to come down to driver but it can be done.

Again having said that my stock T/A didn't run in the 12's, more like low 13's. Thats why I have the 150 shot. I dont have to worry about it because I'm in the 11's.

Thanks for letting me voice my opinion on your board.

This from the guy that says all Camaro drivers are mullet-sporting redneck idiots? You call that hospitable? Find one post where I talked poorly about 350Z's. Find one of my posts that's BS. Yet you're calling me names, are you not?

He started a thread about a guy that is claiming a his 350Z with aftermarket intake runs a 12.4. That's an idiot, is it not? Reading comprehension's a *****.

Like someone said earlier....I'm a car enthusiast...I'm just not willing to walk around with blinders on with only info in my head about the Mustang...I like knowing about other cars also.

I think someone else here said it well when they said "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." I just like to see what the competition is doing. It also becomes quite evident that when people have no clue about the cars they are supposedly blowing away, they need to be straightened out.

I mean seriously, how many new 350z owners are going to come up against a Mustang with dual exhaust and immediately think it's a GT, when it's only a V6 with duals? And then brag about how they smoked a GT!

I raced a 350z with my Mach 1, and after this guy finally admitted I owned him, he says to me that he thought my car was one of those Mustang Pony V6 models!! What the hell was he smoking?

C'mon guys, keep up with the competition, know what it is they have for a drivetrain, and stop relying so much on these goofy magazines that seem to make sure that they meet their own agendas, irregardless of what the real facts are.

Not all of us think of this as a "competition."

Why am I here? Same reason why people watched "Freddy Got Fingered." Morbid curiousity. Sometimes the mud that's slung back and forth is just too good to miss!

As she lay there dozing next to me, one voice inside my head kept saying, "Relax... you are not the first doctor to sleep with one of his patients, " but another kept reminding me, "Howard, you are a veterinarian."
God damn man you almost made choke to death laughing.

Most of the 350 owners I met habe their heads stuck up their a$$ses. Not saying the people on here, but on the road.
They think they are driving the fastest car in the world and it can outhandle anything.

Again, this has nothing to do with people on this board, i am just telling you guys my experience with people i have met outside of this forum.

I dont have a problem with it. I just put bus lengths on them and that usually shuts them up..
