Default beware of G35 sedans

I was coming home today and I was right next to a friend and his father in a new G35 sedan, we both pulled away, I wasn't 100% sure that he wanted to play so I didn't rev before I launched, and I didn't drive it to 100% (didn't go to redline, VDC was ON, JUST filled up with gas, etc.....)......BUT one of hte reasons I didn't go all out was 1. I didn't think I would need to, 2. I wasn't sure if we were gonna race. (plus he had 2 another person in the car, I doubt he turned VDC off, and He could have very well had a full tank of gas too)

the race, I pull 1/4 car on him in 1st, 1/2 on him in second and am about 1 car on him at 65-70 MPH, after that we shut it down. Overall I was a bit disappointed, BUT I ALWAYS feel this way when I am cautious and don't go 100%, it seems that if you aren't running a car hard, there is a HUGE difference in performance. (I remember reading that when a car mag ran the S2000 to 60 without revving it and dropping the clutch, it ran something like a 7.7 0-60, I know the Z isn't that bad b/c we have waaaaaaaaay more torque, but it gives you an idea).

in conclusion, if you are going to run a G and think it is going to be easy, think again

thought???

I was cruising one day on the highway going about 75. When this G35 sedan with tinted windows and spoiler passes me. So I follow until I get in front of it. Then I shift to 4th gear(manual mode). I start pulling away slowly. I shut it down at 115. On high speeds its no match.
