Hi Dolph: Actually you were one of the guys I was going to talk with at the Stick this weekend. I guess you answered the question we have been talking about. Must take a couple of seconds off your time.

Kevin is also over 6', we might see what he does.

I guess it is supposed to rain on Sunday? That will make everyone's tires handle the same.

I do have to also move the steering wheel up a bit for the old knees when I've slid up a bit I typically like my wheel fairly low (pointing toward the center of my chest, or maybe slightly lower), but the way this car sits it isn't that bad a bit higher.

The Simpson helmets were a bit more comfortable, but for the extra $50 (found a local shop selling the LX N for right at $200 and the Voyager N for under $300...excellent prices compared to online), I didn't really care that much as little as I'll use it. I might try to find a Bell to see how that one fits if I get a chance.

You're right, the SA helmets are fire-resistant, whereas the M are not. The other difference between the 2 ratings is that the SA helmets are built to withstand multiple impacts within the context of the same crash (such as during a rollover accident in a car,) while the M is only designed to withstand a single impact. From this and from most folks I've talked to, the SA helmet can be used for M events, but not necessarily vice-versa.

I poled two other 350 drivers at the autocross this weekend. Both of the other drivers over 6' 1" mentioned that their helmets touch the ceiling. I still can put 2 fingers between my helmet and the roof of the car. I must be mis-shapen in some way.

I checked later, and I have about two fingers with my helmet off....
