Helmet not Fitting in Car
Hi Dolph: Actually you were one of the guys I was going to talk with at the Stick this weekend. I guess you answered the question we have been talking about. Must take a couple of seconds off your time.
Kevin is also over 6', we might see what he does.
I guess it is supposed to rain on Sunday? That will make everyone's tires handle the same.

I do have to also move the steering wheel up a bit for the old knees when I've slid up a bit
I typically like my wheel fairly low (pointing toward the center of my chest, or maybe slightly lower), but the way this car sits it isn't that bad a bit higher.
The Simpson helmets were a bit more comfortable, but for the extra $50 (found a local shop selling the LX N for right at $200 and the Voyager N for under $300...excellent prices compared to online), I didn't really care that much as little as I'll use it. I might try to find a Bell to see how that one fits if I get a chance.

the main difference being that SA rated helmets provide fire protection, whereas M rated helmets do not need to (reading through the standard, the other differences seem pretty minor). A lot of companies actually make both an SA and an M rated version of the same helmet, the only difference being the liner material (the SA will have a flame retardant liner) I couldn't find any helmets that actually held both ratings though, so I don't know what that is about...I was hoping to be able to find something that would be sufficient for both, and I believe an SA rated helmet will do that, but if the even you are at requires an M rated helmet, you probably won't have an easy time convincing the organizers that the SA will do.

I poled two other 350 drivers at the autocross this weekend. Both of the other drivers over 6' 1" mentioned that their helmets touch the ceiling. I still can put 2 fingers between my helmet and the roof of the car. I must be mis-shapen in some way.
