Question Pre-Silencer Question???

Does anyone know how and if it is worth it to remove the Pre-Silencer? What advantages and disadvantages come from removing it?

I couldnt tell u as i dont know what it looks like and i dont own the car (as u can see in the sig), but anything that is a silencer is designed to slow the air down, which means its a restriction, a power robber, so yank that sucker out!

Its not a silencer, its a resonator. Its a straight through design. I took it out, sounded like crap and put it back in. Do a search, its about 65-35 against/for. some like it, some dont

Go to the mod sectionsand and do a search, there are a lot of good comments and opinions. Make sure you read it, I for one liked it. I also figured if I didn't, $20 more and it is back on w/ no problems or risk. It is a real easy process, they just replace it w/ a straight pipe. It makes it sound louder, you can't really tell a difference in sound while you are in the car w/ your windows up, but you can w/ the windows down or standing near the car. If you decide to try it, try it for at least a week, at first it sounds raspy when you rev it in neutral, but once you start driving it, it sounds a lot better. Like I said, search, try it out, if you don't like, put it back on.
