Not a lot. Just the usual, exhaust, lid, computer upgrade, SLP suspension, etc. Best time I ever got was 12.9 at 105 mph. I was spinning all the way through thrid gear on those Eagle F1s. I still have the dyno sheets--323.4 rwhp, and 332.? torque, I think. I haven't had that car in 3 and a half years, so I don't remember everything perfectly. LOL

I got ran off the road one night, had the car fixed and sold it.

Geez there are alot of stang, Ls1 guys here. 101 trap? My guess ýs he ýs auto, if he can get traction, and that 101 trap ýs a faslehood watch out!! With my bone stock SS (factory 345 hp crap wýth SLP lýd and exhaust) I ran 13.54 at 107.x mph wýth a rýdýculously crappy 2.35 60 foot. Eagle F1 + 17" rýms + newbýe 6 speed driver = bad 60 ft.

Assumýng auto and bad launch buddy should stýll be gettýng 103 - 106 trap speeds.

I say try and fýnd out, ýf ýts even cool, ýf not týme for some upgrades... thats the name of the game, you need to baselýne somewhere.

Good luck

He can still improve that. Thats an okay 60' but you can definitly do better. His whole 1/8 mile can be improved, I dunno just hope he screws up the launch and cant reel you in. Good luck.

I can take 35mph on ramps at 70mph... Im cetainly not going to ***** about handling. I guess to each thier own. Have you raced an Fbody thru the "twisties" or rather a road course? Has anyone hear? Im just curious .. I know of plenty of Fbodys that hold record lap times and lap Vipers, etc.. A lot has to do with the driver.

As for racing the transam, Good luck, I recently owned a 99 transam that was an automatic and it was dam fast. As far as looks and quality go the 350Z is the ticket. I now own a 03 350Z touring and it is a quick car and looks awesome.

My first time ever to run my car resulted in a 13.6 @107....over a few trips to the track dropped to a 12.99@110....60 ft was still only a 2.15 though and not great.

I'm guessing a Z could hang with a well experienced driver against a LS1 with a slower car and a bad driver up until about 60 mph or so when the HP advantage becomes a factor.

I own a 2001 'Bird and my father owns a 350z. While the 350z might be slower, it makes my car feel like a family sedan in "the twisties."

I think your best chance is from a stop. With his higher horsepower and torque, he may have a harder time hooking up. Don't forget to drop your tire pressure by a few pounds and be running on 1/4 tank without your spare. And, do a few practice runs. I think you'll give him a good run for the money.

Hey thanks, you too (all of them)! Pewter Camaros and Corvettes always look great in person, kinda the opposite of SOM.

Sho' nuf. I think you know what I'm talking about - pewter isn't one of the colors that jumps out at you when you thumb through the brouchure, but when you see one they just look great. Colors like SOM always look awesome in pictures, but they leave a lot to be desired in person - I saw a SOM SS this morning that reinforces this in my mind.

I think it's hilarious the way some people act with cars and racing. Almost as if their faster car proves they are actually a better man somehow. In the end, all you are doing pressing the gas and shifting. It's not you doing the racing, it's the car. Some people think it's actually them though. Why don't people race on foot? This would be a much better way to determine who the better man was, at least physically.

I don't have a problem with racing cars, don't get me wrong. I'll race people too. It's just that I have observed how some (many) people get very defensive about their cars, and winners are seen as better men, and losers are seen as pussies, to put it bluntly. The reality is, you AREn't the car. So stop with the little attitude, because whether you win or lose, it's not you, it's the car. Go out there and have fun, don't take it too seriously though.

By the way, most people would agree that the TA is a faster car than the Z. However, I would say the Z is a better performer around curves than the TA, since I drive both.
