LS1s do like the twisties too...

btw, GREAT VIDEO, gets the blood going!!
If anyone still believes that F-bodies don't handle good then they really have lived with their head up their *** for too long. Parked right next to my 350Z is a gorgeous T/A WS6 that stock can put the smack down on most imports in the twisties. My only complaint with F-bodies is their horrible shock valving from the factory although a set of Koni adjustable shocks can cure that real fast.
On that note - anyone know where someone is selling a SS Camaro or LE1 equipped Camaro really cheap? All the ones around here are still going for over $20k
. Maybe I should just find an LS1 powered Camaro and go really crazy with it...

LOL, I really think the handling in these cars got a bad rap from uninformed internet racers. Heck, even if you read magazine reviews - and we know how much internet racers love their mag racing - they don't mention the pig-like handling that some of the internet racers like to envision.
That being said, better shocks are a major improvement. A good set of Bilsteins valved to match the springs will work almost as well as Konis, but you definately lose the versatility that comes with an adjustable shock.
One thing I'd understand the 350Z crowd seeing as a major shortfall in the f-cars is braking. The 350Z/G35 has some of the best brakes I've ever used on a street car, and getting used to those would make just about any other car's braking prowess seem marginal at best.
Be careful though, some guys heads may implode if you manage to convince them that f-cars can handle. I even saw a new ricer excuse made up by a guy who was faced with evidence that f-cars could do more than move in a straight line - "all those American cars need big wide tires to hold the road, that's not a fair comparison!"

Here is Someones Hompage I came across...
This is an actual Koni ad circa 1997. The irony is that the 1LE had yellow Koni double adjustable shocks and no driving lights.
1LE's just plain rock. I'd love to get my hands on a black LS-1 SS 1LE, but dang... talk about rare.
The cool thing about f-bodies and fox-bodies is that they're cheap as hell to make them "turn."
Michael.
