I just watched the video of the run. I'll tell you I really wish I had the $12000 US to go on it (+all the speeding tickets they get). The run is called "The Gumball 3000" this year they are going to be going for SF to Miami.

Not too mention all the bail money It'd be worth it to run with that many exotics though. I'm sure there will be some Z's representing this year though.

i have a friend that went on it last year, he said it was insane. just imagine doing 160 and getting passed like youre standing still.

if you havent seen mischief 3000, i would go pick it up. its about $12 bux at best buy if you can find it. it' about an hour of antics on the gumball ralley last year.

haha, you can't be serious. You're going to put a turbo kit on your car, and then expect it to hold up for 3000 miles of full-throttle driving?

Considering how little development has been done on the Z, good luck with all your tuning.

John, who's tired of peope thinking turbos are an easy bolt-on that doesn't require hours of tuning, advanced engine management, upgraded fuel delivery system...

Well it will be probably the best test for the Z with a turbo kit, if you are willing to put the car through that. Tell us how it goes and I hope that you have a safe run

Oh and try not to speed to much

I wish I knew what time they'll be coming by Tallahassee on I-10 (assumeing they go that way) I'd like to throw a "run forest run" banner over the side of an Overpass and see if I can get in the video. HEHE.

Talking Mischif

I know the people who made the Mischif 3000 Video. I also am presently working with one of the makers of the Mischif Videos and we are going to be getting some Z's in one of the next upcomming videos. It will either be in the next video, or the one after that. Probably the one after that. So far I have at least 2 Z's that I am working on to get in the video. Still trying to get more Z's together for this video shoot.

You're full of **** dude, they stopped accepting entries. The race is in like a week and a half!!! It comes through my hometown (New Orleans) this year and I may yet be driving home just to drive it from New Orleans to Miami and then go back to school. I don't have the cash to enter but I'll run alongside'em for a while and check their **** out. I'll be sure to take photos.

Amen. It's the same way with the LS1 guys who can't accept that the '03 Cobra has the upper hand. It's always "throw a blower on an LS1 and see what happens." Well, without a ton of money and work, all that's going to happen is that you're going to scatter the bottom end trying to put down the same power that a modded Cobra is getting.

FI is not an easy bolt on for motors that are not built to handle boost. The VQ and LS1 have the same things working against them - high static compression and non-forged internals.

There is no specific route. the drivers take whatever they think gets them there faster.

San Diego, Tucson, San Antonio, New Orleans, Miami. That is the schedule this year.

Uhmm... actually the routes are given to them the day of the race. Each leg is given to them on the day so that cop's can't setup roadblocks etc. If you don't beleive me just go read the site.

This already happened about two weeks ago. It starts San Francisco then went through Vegas, Tucson, San Antonio, New Orleans, and finishing in Miami. If you watch the documentary from last year they say that they alert law enforcement on the route. Last year they raised money for the Twin Towers Fund. In the doc they say two of the racers were going to auction their cars at the end for charity. Anyway, some of my friends saw the cars the night that they were in Tucson.
