Raced a EVO VIII
Today I was at the local performance shop and there was an EVO VIII there I said I have been wanting to race one and he said lets go so we got in our cars and took off. I wish we could have done it at night there was too much traffic to get any good runs in but we did a 40 punch and I pulled about a car on him and kept it till 80 then we had to slow down. We ran a few more times and it was the same result. I would not want to run one of thoes from a stop!!!! I thought it was an ok looking car it would take me a wile to get used to it.
Yeah, from a stop might be more difficult. I noticed that MT ran a 13.08@105mph in the quarter in their latest issue. That's a lot better than CD did though...as I recall they were only able to pull a mid 13sec at 101mph.
BTW, is your car stock?

I raced an Evo at the track a few weeks ago, it has intake and turbo back Exhaust. He pulled about 1.5-2 car lenght on me off the launch (2.24 vs 1.9 60') and he ran a 96.97@13.88 vs my 14.2@101, At the end I was gaining pretty good and gain about a car lenght back.
But here's the real kicker:
I gained 24.5Mph in the 2nd 1/8 vs his 16.5Mph gaining in the 2nd 1/8 so I can easily see pulling on them from any roll..
