handed ass to Audi A8
i thought these things were fast? I know the S8 or S6 is a monster, but this A8 (v8) was purely rediculous. In first gear i pulled about 1 and a half car lengths and then by the top of second i was about 3 car lengths....then in third i pulled a few more. We raced from 0 to about 80 and at the end i had a bout 5-7 car lengths.
The A8 is pretty quick, but I'd describe it more as smooth. The thing has a huge torque/HP plateau and tractable almost anywhere. The 2.7TT is the one I'd go with personally as it seems to respond nicely to a little more boost. :-) Anyhow, Audi World has a good stats section on it:

At 14.2 or so, it should be right with a 350Z if driven well. I ran against one in my chipped A4 1.8t and left it for dead too.
BTW, your sig file indicates you have a 350ZX Is that a special model?!

i just looked at the specs from audi world you posted. it says 0-60 = 6.7 and 1/4 mile is 14.2... the Z is rated at 5.4 and 14.0-.2 as well. i guess towards the end of the 1/4 he should of caught me...(according to these specs).
ratings dont mean anything + 1 second. anything within a second difference is 100% dependant on the driver and road conditions etc. "magazine racing" by arguing about numbers is fairly pointless.

I just took a look at the official audi site and it claims even the S8 which has 360hp does 0-60 in 6.3 which is quite slower than the Z. I dont see 0-60 specs for the 4.2 v8 which is the one i raced. Must be in the 7 second range.
