I think the 19's are hurting you, you should have been in the 12's with a higher trap. I trapped 105-106 with a 65hp shot.

Can I ask you a few more questions?

What does your car with driver weigh?

What octane gas were you using?

Did you ever Dyno with A/F (these Z's have been confirmed to run EXTREMELY rich!) Can you say ECU???? +10HP

What was your rear tire pressure?

What rpm did you launch at?

If my car runs 12.7 will I get a sponsor for abusing my car?

Brandon is talking about bringing some ET Streets on 16's.

Last time I seen him like this it was deep deep 12's!

Anyone have a spair rear end handy if I hit 12.7?

I don't know. you would have to approach companies you want parts from. Importlife produces DVDs for retail sale. We wouldnt be any good to you. I would suggest you talk to Zex. Get reimbursed for the hardware you paid for. If they say no, you can say you will take you 12 second Z and convert to Venom or a competing brand.

I would suggest you talk to Zex. Get reimbursed for the hardware you paid for. If they say no, you can say you will take you 12 second Z and convert to Venom or a competing brand.
Good idea.

Plenty of brands out there now, like NX!

Are you spraying through the shifts? If so, you better save up for a tranny cause yours is gonna blow!

It's activated at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) so unless he keeps his foot planted to the floor while shifting, it's not spraying.

Maybe Im used to trannys that can handle some abuse..but uh.. I don't come off the gas very much when I shift. Just enough to keep it off the rev limiter.

Why would you say that?? His stock clutch will slip LONG before he puts enough force on the gears powershifting to break something. Now a harsh aftermarket clutch would be a different story....but no way he's going to "blow" his trans on a stock clutch.

NO! This is the EVAP line, not the fuel line. There is no Shrader valve on the fuel line. The best solution (which I have done) is to buy the adapter piece that was given out in another long nitrous post. Part number J-44321-4 from SPX 1-800-345-2233. I installed it and it works great, no splicing required. I'll post pictures of it soon.

I'm trying to work with MSD on a window switch. They seem to think it won't work, but it should. Nothing special about our ignition system. Just one ECU output per coil pack.

He's thinking of my old LS1 with the NOS 5177 kit where we did pull the shrader valve. You had too.

It was a dry kit with twin 125HP jets. Actually he bought that kit off me,

The MSD window switch WILL WORK. I had one on my 97 Maxima which had the same DIS as the Z. You need to have MSD modify the switch for 1 cylinder operation. It's costs about 30 bucks and takes a little over a week.

You're not the only one feeling this way.

I personally don't care about the ET's (at first). I would first want to see mph to see the power improvement in the Z, then I would worry about improving ETs.

Although most Z's trap between 99-101mph, I keep thinking of "webcarconnection" and his Z with 3 mods running 104 traps. We're talking 100shot here plus exhaust and more. I don't get it.

Maybe needs some tuning?

Not trying to start ****, just confused.

Yes,

Manual mode I hit the rev limiter and launching traction is my biggest problem now. Tried just D and lost 2 tenths, just can't hook on street tires with this much torque.

I don't launch on the bottle but after I WOT I stay WOT through the run.

I find it damn amazing that a loaded car did 13.1 with 19 in rims and a full tank!

That is some seriuos driving. I trapped higher than that and got the same E/T with less weight?

I'm also using the Zex kit. I'm looking for a window switch that will only spray between 3000-6000rpms or so. Recent talks with MSD have hope, just have to provide them with an oscilloscope outpute signal to the ignition coils (which I have no o-scope), but the Z manual provides sample outputs.

I'm planning on running a 100hp shot and tuning it on the dyno. I've got everything mounted and ready to go, just have to knock out the wiring and hook up some fail-safes. Bottle heater and plugs are on their way.

Well, Max, from my experience, auto trannies will blow if you spray through the shifts. Be careful.

His car was loaded with crap. I was parked next to him most of the day off the track.

Sorry i didn't say bye that day. When i lost my last bracket I was so f#cking pissed. I left on the other guys lights and i never broke into the 12s as i wanted. But I got something for that piece of crap s2000 come nopi racewars. JK man. I love that whip. But i have yet to hear the motor. Must be a display queen! :P
