Default 100 Shot of NOS = 13.11 @ 106.23mph

First I want to thank all the fellow Z owners who came out and ran together. As well as to Smithtown Nissan for coming out and supporting.

We had a blast. I ran 2 runs with a 100 shot of NOS and here are the times.

I was also interviewed by UPN9 News so you might see me talking about my car and what my thoughts are on streetracing.

Default P.S.

When you say 100 shot of NOS are you running a NOS Brand Kit
and do you have pics? Wet? I checked your gallery (nice website) but didn't see any install or N20 pics

Hell if you can get a interview with 13.11 wait till my car runs! I want a sponsor!! We did this all with our own hands and money!

Mine is a zex ZEX with top secret jets!

This should be fun.

Judging from his sponsors I'd say he's running an NOS system. I'm assuming it's a dry setup as well. Is the Zex system wet or dry?

Default My Zex is wet

Not aware of any dry kits for the Z and curious to see what a NOS install looks like in the Z. Haven't seen one yet.

(I am a former NOS 5177 junkie) went all the way up to 125HP dry with their kit!

It was just the title that grabbed me
100 Shot of NOS
NOS just makes the jets we all know that right?

You cannot use NOS Jets with ZEX or NX so I would like to see pics of his install.

I think we should have a Nitrous Section for install pics etc!

can someone post a picture of the stock fuel line and where you teed it off for the fuel solenoid. Also, are any of you guys running a window switch, if so what wire would you tap for the rpm engagement? One more question, with your zex kit did it come with the little control module box like the dry kit does or is it just the nitrous and fuel nozzles in one like an nx kit?

Default Question for Importlife.com

At what point do you activate the nitrous; ie first gear? second gear? and do you keep it activated until the finish line?

Thanks.

I don't want to be an ***....but those times and traps are a little disappointing for a Z with a 100-shot. I used to have my Maxima juiced and on a DRY 100-shot it ran 104mph traps...off the bottle it was in the 94-95mph range. Thats pretty much a 10mph gain on a car that has really poor top end stock (power falls off HARD after 5500 on the VQ30DE because of the stock intake manifold). This Z is only getting about 4-5mph over what a lot of stock Zs have trapped.

Hell....even an 02 Maxima 6-speed with OUR MOTOR ran 110mph traps with a 100-shot...

Either you're running WAY rich or something is wrong...

Max: Good luck with your run. I welcome the competition.
here is my nos install. You have to love the SEARCH feature. jk

To people asking: I am running a 100 shot wet Single fogger, NOS brand.

The nitrous is activated on open throttle.

I am running on my 3 piece 19s with toyo T1S (245/35 and 275/35). I am against stripping the car down or slicks. I am a believer in running the car the same way I drive it in the streets, with all my garbage in it.

I had my spare, lunch, and 71 DVDs in my trunk when i ran the 13.11 yesterday. My 10lb bottle was full and i had a full tank of gas. I make no excuses for my times.

Default "activated on open throttle"

So you're spraying from launch all the way through the traps?

Default Thanks

I would launch at 2500 rpm's to hook and then WOT. The only kit I know that comes stock with a window kit is the Venom.

Mine is WOT too. There are not any slicks or DR's for 18's yet.

The bolt pattern is common though the same as the Mustang I am told.

Good times for a loaded car Importlife!

I will run with stereo gear minus subs and 1/4 tak gas.

Brandon will drive. The car runs rich an S-AFCII would be nice but rather rich than lean!

I ain't gonna lie this will be close.

If it rains tomorow you might here me screaming all the way from California

Default P.S. to the Maxima guy

The trap in my sig is with a 65 shot on a rainy/sprinkly day on street tires. I expect it to be around 108.

Sorry I am in a hurry out the door but one question.

Your intake and exaust is stock?

Peace!

Wish me luck, we want to repreZent!

I had Acosta Racing build me a aluminum pipe for the intake, to replace the rubber one. It was simply cuz the alumnium would creat a better seal.

And the exhaust i am running is the catback GHL system.

Good luck with your run.

Those are pretty good numbers, but I agree that the speed is a little low for a 100 shot. The extra weight could be the problem.

The 60' times are good, that's a 12's car with little more practice.
