Default Crimefighting Z vs. a Van

OK, this kill story is more of a chase, not a race...but it's pretty good, so read on.

I just bought my 03 PP White Performance 350Z two weeks ago. This past weekend, I took it home to my parents out in western Kansas to have them check it out.

I had it parked out in the street across from their house. My uncle and his kids were over visiting and we were up late, just shooting the sh*t. All of a sudden, about 2:30 a.m. a van pulls up next to the car and my brother and uncle are watching them.

I figure they are just checking out my car like everyone else in this town, as there aren't any around there. But, my brother hears a clunk like a car door shutting and then they take off. He tells me to go check it out. When I go out to look, I find a limestone rock the size of a baseball sitting next to my car and a marble sized dent in the door, 3 inches below the drivers window. WHAT THE FU**!!!!

I am absolutely furious! I can't see straight I'm so pissed. Well...just then I see a van pull around the corner and start driving back down our street. As they drive by, they see I'm holding the rock and they take off. I start running after to get the plate number but only see the first 3 numbers. My guess is they were trying to hit the window, had no idea we saw them, and were coming back around to finish the job. They had no idea what kind of car they were messing with.

I had run about 50 feet after them before turning around and heading back to my car. By the time I got there, they had already turned the corner of our street. By the time I got in and to the end of the block, they were about 300 yards ahead at a corner. By the time I got to that corner, they were only 75 yards ahead at the next corner and turning to go out of town. At this point, I have about 1180 miles on my car, so needless to say, I was ready to take it redline for the first time!

I closed in within 50 feet about 100 yards down the road out of town...this is when they threw a concrete block out of their window trying to hit me...didn't work...I dodged it like it wasn't even there, pulled up behind and got the plate number and saw it was from the local area.

At that point, I watched them get onto the highway heading east, but in western Kansas, they have nowhere to hide. I went back home and gave the plate to the cop my parents had waiting...within an hour, these two chickensh** fu**ups were in custody. Turns out they had vandelized cars all over the town that night. Now, they're in a world of sh**.

I spoke w/the arresting officer last night. They also resisted arrest, the driver was drunk and they found some stuff they had stolen out of another vehicle earlier in the night. Felonies, felonies, felonies!

Default Awesome

This is the BEST story I have seen in a long time. Car vandals busted big time! Vigilant owner rewarded for his actions! The crowd goes wild!

Seriously, this is a GREAT story.

The best part is that vandalizing a Z is going to net them a STACK of felony charges because they were DUMB enough to vandalaize while drunk and holding stolen goods. Super sweet.

The ironic touch (that they got caught because they came BACK to finish the job) is just icing on the cake.

Man, you made my day.

Default UPDATE

I'm getting my car into the shop on Monday, May 18. Can't wait to get it back! $1000 even to repair...because it has the metallic white paint, they are going to need to repair the dent, then paint the door and BOTH the front and back drivers side panels...this is because they are worried about matching up the paint! That SUCKS! Only $200 deductable out of my pocket - and you can bet I'll be after the moms of the 2 kids to pay me back!

So many of these stories end with these bastards getting away with it. I'm glad to see your situation wasn't like this.

Good kill!

Default Whew!!!...

Just got my car back yesterday...Carstar did an incredible job! You can't tell anything ever happened to the door. Now, I just have to get the money I spent in deductible from the 2 guys that hit it and everything will be bygones.

I'm going to pretend like this never even happened.

Great Kill... You gotta love catching dumb a$$'s like that...

I am just happy it wasnt at family's place. We would have turned there van into swiss cheese before they made it around that first turn I think... As the saying goes, "Guns dont kill people, I do!" It is possible in a situation like this.

Let us know how it goes getting reimbursed.
