We'll here in Canada its a Talon...I guess an Eclipse for most of you guys. It was an early-mid 90's Talon. All I know is that it had an exhaust and there were crazy pop off sounds from the car. How much HP can you get otu of those turbos? We both punched it at the same time in second gear and he pulled a bit on me before soemthing kicked in and he took off with his resr bumper at my front bumper. Then I pulled back up to his door before he started to pull a little bit on me again. Anyway, nice friendly race. But I wonder how much you can get out of those things. I've heard alot.

 

i had a 91 awd talon and i can tell you with minor mods that car is a monster. Without upgrading the stock turbo those cars can push high 300's hp. My car with exhaust , boost controller, no cat, exhaust, powerflow, and fuel computer ran mid 12's. The stock boost in that car is 10.5psi and with the boost controller that stock turbo can go up to approx 17-18psi. if it was stock the Z should have no problem beating that car.

 

Yeah, the 1G laser/talon/clipse is pretty nice platform. The 14b turbo is rated on websites to support...oh around 255 to the wheels, but I think that's underrated. There are lots of guys in the 12's with the 14b. There's one place that has a low 12 car (damn near 11's) on the 14b.

I had 1g eclipse with alot of mods-the only problem was it was under repair ALOT.give me reliability,give me a Z.
