Default An Invitation to all Z Owners to Dallas-Ft. Worth Area Track Days

To All Z Drivers:

SportBikeHype (the name is a bit misleading) has arranged for seventeen (17) “RIDE & DRIVE” events for the remainder of 2003. The next event will be this Sunday, June 1st, at Pennington Field.

An important aspect of the days' activities will be sessions for cars. We've had great participation from the S-2000 community, and it was suggested to us that the 350Z drivers might enjoy these events as well (both from the standpoint of driving and watching the sportbike riders do their thing).

The majority of events will be held at Texas Motor Speedway, on the Le Mans course inside the 178,000 seat stadium where NASCAR and IRL races are run. At Pennington Field, SportBikeHype will continue to construct straight-line, road course and practice areas for riding and driving.

Here are the CORRECT dates (I blew the list in some prior posts):

SUNDAY, June 1 - Pennington Field
SUNDAY, June 22 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, June 29 - Pennington Field
SUNDAY, July 6 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, July 13 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, July 27 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, Aug 17 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, Aug 31 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, Sep 7 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, Sep 14 - Pennington Field
SUNDAY, Sep 28 - Pennington Field
SUNDAY, Oct 12 - Pennington Field
SUNDAY, Oct ? - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, Nov 16 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, Nov 23 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, Dec 7 - Texas Motor Speedway
SUNDAY, Dec 14 - Texas Motor Speedway

Gate fees will rise somewhat in the third quater of the year, but the increase will not be significant. For the time-being, however, the rates will remain well less than a third of those commanded by any other organization in the United States, and participants need not have racing licenses to get out on the course. At Pennington Field, it presently costs a $5.00 to ride, and $10.00 to drive. At Texas Motor Speedway, admission is $15.00 to ride, and $45.00 to drive.
