You know I believe you just answered your own question...

hmm
LS1 V-8 that dynos over 300RWHP stock and has SICK top end...

350Z 6 banger that is rated at 287 flywheel..(not sure on stock dyno numbers but I would guess 240-250RWHP)

Do the math..
Unless he is a crappy driver, if he has his foot mashing the pedal the whole time how exactly did you beat him?
Simple math...

Don't even say the weight difference because it's so small that it would not affect the out come all that much....
And even less so from a roll...

As for the DSM thing....

You sound like a typical ricer...
"oh yea well my friend has this, this, and that.. and hell smoke you..."

Nice way to bench race your friends car that has nothing to do with anything..

Just to let you know I'm not to afraid of your friend's DSM, so if you were trying to scare me or anything....
Keep trying...

I've run TWO AUTOMATIC LS1s from a highway roll-on and pulled on both. One was and SS the other a Trans Am. Both probably had crappy 2.73 rear ends.

I would most definitely get walked by a 6M LS1, but the Autos aren't geared for the highway at all. The Z IS geared for the highway. The pull in 3rd and 4th is very impressive for a N/A "6-banger"...whatever the hell that is.

240RWHP and you pulled on a 300+RWHP LS1...?
even with 2.73's it's highly unlikely...
Once his car downshifts he is going to leave you like you are standing still....
Or maybe you caught him in a weak spot where his tranny won't downshift..
Even so once his RPM's raise a little bit he is going to walk you HARD....

How long did you "race" for? 5 secs?

as for pull in 3rd and 4th?
Ya it is probably impressive, but get in an LS1 and tell me which 3rd and 4th gear pull is more impressive..

as for the 6-banger comment..
My bad 6 cylinders
Is that better?

I'm sorry son but your wrong there...I walked away from an ls1 A4 from 60 on up to 115 and he was trying ( I think that would be longer then 5 seconds). I thought I had the gump to take him from the dig though and I did not do so well.

As for the snappy quips...dont forget where you are posting

As for you BD... (Your car may be fast, but it's sure FUGLY.)
Keep telling yourself that your car is "hella smooth" by blowing money on race gas, personally I don't care. The fine engineers at Nissan designed the motor and programmed the ecm to run on premium, without bumping the CR or running a more agressive tune, race gas is useless on an N/A engine.

Bringing up your opinion of how a car looks is pretty stupid, so is nut swinging from a car you don't own. I won't even mention how uber ghey it is making your screenname a car you don't even own. Gee, maybe I should make mine MTI436CIDLS1, since apparently its the cool thing to make your screenname your unrealized fantasy.

Personally I think your about 16 years old and don't even own a 350Z.

First of all, I am 29 dumbass. Secondly, my car gets more stares than your car will ever get (and thats from people who aren't in my family you hillbilly). Thirdly, I have a CS 6MT Touring model of the Z.

Your comment of me not owning the Z only makes me wonder if you own a car that is different from what you say you own.

Please...no more comments from people who have nothing more than GEDs.

Lol 29. What kind of 29 year old still says stuff like "hella smooth".

And since when was someone who lives and has lived all his life in the NYC metro area a hillbilly? You being from the cornfields of Illinois should be the last one to talk. Or are you one of those too cool import guys who thinks all domestic owners are rednecks?

Right, I don't own the car I say I do. This from a guy who's screename suggests he owns a Twin Turbo'd Z which he obviously doesn't. Again, another sign of a teenage nut swinger. If you ever find yourself on the east coast, I'd be happy to run you in my "phantom LS1" for some greenbacks. And I've got a bit more than a GED there bud I'm guessing you don't even have one of those yet?

How bout you just show a couple pics of your car, and then I'll be convinced otherwise.

both runs were from around 70mph well into the 130mph range. I've been in AND driven LS1s...including my buddies 98 C5 6-speed and frankly from all the hype I thought they'd fell quicker than they do.

but I'm sorry, you know EXACTLY what would happen when my car (that you've never been in or seen) runs an auto LS1 on the highway...I shouldn't even have posted my experience.

Whatever you say buddy...

So you are saying that you think your 350Z is faster than an LS1?
Cause the above post makes it seem that way...

Just FYI I have driven a 350Z..
They are very nice cars..
and quick, but not LS1 quick...sorry if I busted your bubble

from EXPERIENCE I think that my Z is quicker from a highway roll than a 2.73 geared stock LS1 automatic....thats it. You can think whatever you want, but the FACT is I have experience in the subject of a 350Z vs. an Auto LS1 and you DO NOT. End of story.
