I love my Euros...but it's a breathe of fresh air to see these self proclaimed "Euro Elitists" give the Z alot of respect.

True car enthusiasts will accept the fact that there are other fast cars out there that deserve respect for their ability to perform.

It distinguishes them from those bandwagon fan boys rooting on cars manufactured on one continent.

I hate those Bias D1cks!

I also don't think he's beating anything short of a Geo Metro keeping it under 4k

You really should get a different attitude....there will always be faster cars out there.

My car could wax your *** but that doesn't mean I'm sitting here calling your car slow. I'm always open to different cars and ready to give compliments where they are do.
Just say its a nice car but i'm glad my Z gottem or somthing like that. There is a reason why the 2 series BMW has been on Car and Drivers 10 best for the last gillion years....because its a nice car.
Cocky owners=not cool

Peace

for the record, I drove a 318, and I do believe I could beat it keeping it under 3grand.

not sure what the point of this thread is, so just thought Id toss that out there.

Yea i know a 318 is slow and u probably could beat it keeping the car under 4k....thats why i asked

And a two door e36 325 with just an intake and exhaust/chip could run a 15.0 1/4 or quicker with a good driver....not bad for a design dating back to 1992

Well, I normally don't respond to this type of threads; but since no Bimmer owner responded, I thought I should

I have a '02 330Ci. Would a Z beat me? In what? 1/4mi.? Of course. Is that important? not at all. Bimmer ownership is something special, the BMWCCA community is tremendous (more members than SCCA and great events), and overall Bimmers are great cars. That's sufficient to me.

There are wonderful cars besides Bimmers and the Z is one of them and a great value. Do you think any Bimmer owner feels "less" when they see a Z? Hell no, LOL.

Any how, it is nice to see everyone taking Bimmers as a benchmark however, and that should tell something.

I'm sorry, but this just put the visual of a bunch of BMW guys sitting around in a big group hug singing Kumbaya around a bond fire.....
