Anyone with a TD Borla race a LS1 Yet?

Nope. The Camaro Z-28, Camaro SS, and Trans Am WS-6 all have the LS-1 V-8. The LS-6 is only in the Corvette Z06. And the Firebird Formula also has an LS-1 (or it's an option? Something like that, but I know it's available in the Formula).

I wish i had a LS6!!
BTW: Its just LS1....not LS-1 or LS-6.....
actually LS-6 was a designation used on Chevelles back in the day.....the current LS6 has no dashes.

You suck!
My best is a 12.93 in the quarter...with a super crappy 104.31 mph trap speed. I guess that's what having the aerodynamics of a misshapen brick does to your trap speeds.
Oh well, at least I know my motor is capable of producing more power then some fighter jets.

Haha, go Buick!
Seriously though, the Turbo Buicks are probably the most capable cars on the planet when it comes to the drag strip. For most cars, hitting 12's is really something. When it comes to Turbo Buicks, your car is nothing unless it's running 10's or less, and even 10-second Turbo Buicks aren't that rare. Heck, I saw a list awhile back, and there are several dozen 7-second Turbo Buicks.
Now that is something.

You'll need at least 60 more hp to keep up. 80 or more to beat.
Even with that turbo kit, it's still only pulling a 106mph trap speed (same as stock LS1s). The time was obviously done with some sorta traction enhancement (drag radials or something).
So, I don't think just basic bolt-ons will do it.
If you just want to beat one in a street race, you can do that stock, just depending on how badly the LS1 spins, and how well you hook up (driver's race). But if you want to win consistently, you'll need more power.
Don't feel bad about that turbo kit. I remember MotorTrend testing a turbo S2000. It ran a 13.7 at 102mph after the turbo. When you have a high compression engine, you cant add that much boost without changing a bunch of stuff.
I can't believe some of you guys are turned on by the new GTO!
It's the old HSV coupe developed here in Oz a few years back. It's fast but nowhere near the times you guys are getting.
The car WAS good looking for it's time, it's just getting old(ish). Also it's a mid 13 1/4mile even with 400hp. Most probably due to the weight of the car.

Although I do think it is kind of innflamatory that some LS1 guys here say the VQ35 could NEVER (never say never) keep up, the LS1 is obviously faster bang for buck (as are mods), and people just need to wake up to that. I may drive a Z, but I'm not an idiot!
I just think the retarded part is how seemingly every member of this forum feels the need explore every possible mod possibility for either engine pitted against the other. RE-TAR-DED.
OH MY GOD!!! You guys never give up... I race a lot of LS1 and wan 90% of the races... besides the streets factors, I can garantee that MY Z can keep up with them... and I don't have FI or NOS (Sig.)
P.S. not all the LS1 here trap 105+ in the track... that is relative!
