Question how accurate is the G-tech?

for those who have tracked their cars AND used g-tech on the streets, are your times pretty much the same?

i've heard the gtech is pretty accurate; obviously not dead-on though.

i'm waiting for mines to arrive....want to get ballpark #s for hp, 1/4 mile, etc.

I was within .02 on the several 1/4 mile runs I made with it, but the speed at the 1/4 mile was off by 2-5mph.

Gtech Pro is extremely accurate. I've used it on countless cars and some track time. Always very close.

The mph will ALWAYS be off on gtech. Subtract 4mph from your gtech time to be accurate. But as long as you start with the G @ 0.0, on a flat road...you will get an accurate time.

Havent gtech'd my Z yet, too scared to break something

I woudnt trust it. Nothing beats a good old dyno for hp ratings.

I have the new Escort G-Timer 2. I recently tested it since my car is broken in now (compared with my track times from earlier). My times are in my Sig. I am going to the track a week from today and I am gonna compare my G-Timer numbers to the track numbers
