I also have not been impressed with Pulstars, when removing the coilpacks from the racecar the coils bound to the plugs (as they have a larger diameter to fit their circuitry) and ended up tearing the boots off of the coils. I now either need new coils entirely, or hopefully I can buy just the boots. Frustrating to say the least.
I've also seen failures on Turbo applications. Pulstars are a good idea, but should have stayed in the development stage a little longer before coming out on the market. They are a good way to advance timing 2-3 degrees at high RPM in modern distributorless ignition sytems if you have no means or no plans for tuning, but I will agree they are prone to problems.

I installed them, thought they were great until a tip burned off after about 10,000 miles. I went back to NGK's. I'd hate to think the damage the tip could do in a cylinder or to a head or valve if it didn't get vaporized or blown straight out.

Our flanges didn't fit, it turns out every cylinder is different. Silly me for not noticing earlier. I was still able to do some work today however, the right bank is all mocked up and ready to get fitted with flanges tommorow, then once I confirm there are no clearance issues it will be fully welded, and on to the left bank!
Here are some pics guys, will update further tommorow hopefully!

damn, I wish i checked my e-mail sooner yesterday. I would have hopped on the GO train or something. If your going to be around Saturday Ill try to swing by, I hope you've got enough piping to make me a set . Is the diameter after the collector the same size as the headers on the race car?

Hey guys,
Thanks for the great feedback. It's nice to see everyone as excited about these as we are. We aren't a vendor here so we can discuss production or pricing or anything like that, but you can always contact me privately for more information.
One thing I will say and I hope the moderators don't mind, is because of the very high cost to produce these headers, we may not sell to vendors for the first few batches, just because we want to keep the price down for the end buyer. When you do everything with the best material and components available (ok we could us inconel, but common), the price goes way high. We do not want to cut any corners on collectors or material with these things, it's just not of any interest to design and build something unless it is going to be to the best that we are capable of.
The headers will be going back to the factory y-pipe flange location, so they will bolt up to any aftermarket y-pipe or exhaust. The only other thing remaining is the O2 sensor bungs. Because the primaries will all be seperate at the first primary O2, we will not reccomend using the stock O2's for tuning, as you will be effectively only monitoring 2 of 6 cylinders. We reccomend putting 2 seperate widebands after the collectors for tuning. An alternative option we have is to make extension harnesses that will clip into the engine harness and the primary O2s, simply extending them to after the collectors where they will then be sampling the mixture from all cylinders.
We will then also need an O2 simulator put in place for the rear O2s, so they do not throw a CEL.
Since these headers are primarilly designed for motorsports use, none of the above was concern before, but for production it is obviously important they are a bolt in affair for even the average diy enthusiast!
If you have any other suggestions for these longtubes now is the time to give your input, because all of that decision making is happening right now, its a lot easier to design it right from the start than it is to go back and fix something in the future!
