A Better header and exhaust would help I'd expect, but so far, I think it's a fantastic build.

The exhaust is a nonissue as far as I am concerned. The headers with these cams, who knows for certain. I know that I have an airflow problem between the lower plenum and the outside world lets get that out the way first.
Sasha as for your example, I totally understand what you are saying. But I didn't appreciate the effect of reversion in the intake tract. I can only imagine with more cam and better flowing heads how much vacuum I would be pulling. Being that it takes very little time to swap the tb and maf housing next time I go to tune for those things I can do a baseline run with the ported lower, stock tb, stock maf and datalog vacuum to see if the porting made those items more of a restriction which would indicate a more effective runner.

Just a little reading about maf size and hp levels. Remember our stock maf is not even 70mm id.

jb I am seriously awaiting your results with the cosworth plenum. Also I would love to see a dyno of your car with rpm to hp and tq. Its just that the database for N/A vq is very limited. How far does any cam go powerwise, what other parts do you need to maximize them, these are questions with very limited answers. I have the "do the build around the cam" mentality, is that wrong....I have no idea and guessing is very expensive on these cars.

Well building around the cam would be harder than speccing the cam to go well with your mods. I'm not sure if any companies do custom cam grinds but if you want the most efficient build you would want flow numbers for everything and have cams custom made to best use your build. This forum isn't the best place to find information on N/A builds. I would reccomend surfing around LS1tech a bit to get an idea of what they do to make power. It's not the same engine, but the principles are the same.

When I want to know something fundamental this is not where I look. LS1tech is pretty good spent some time on there lurking around, the mustang forums are ok, some honda stuff, bmw m cars in general. This is not the build I would have done on an unlimited budget to say the least. If I can ever win on any of these mega millions tickets maybe I can do that build, but isn't that just a call away to rebello and somewhere over 10k but less than 20k. Or maybe rjc or whatever but how much is shipping from europe on an engine. The real solution would be an lsx engine for a all out track monster, but then thats corvette money and they are already fast and parts are cheaper. Should have built a miata for what I spent on this engine. But hey updates coming soon bought a z1 maf housing going to see what it does, more $ in the pit I call my Z.
