I spent money yesterday

They sure do. I did not even get mad (mostly) when he said it has not even started.

I heard that if there is any oil on the surface of the block or the heads before assembly it will blow the head gasket. Maybe that's why it went. He put the head studs in with too much oil and it seeped out and blew the head gasket? Or it dripped off on the block.

Just think about what it is like when the engine is operating, if it has oil on it, generally it gets lubed, if it is something that stays dry, make sure it is clean, and yes, the head and block surfaces should be cleaned with alcohol before they go on. Mgrotel, if you have any questions, let me know, been there, done that, and I had some good help and a Nissan fsm to help, if you want it pm me for my phone number

Hehe, I might be a step ahead of you already. I'll let you know when things are finalized but should be done by end of the year when I come back from Korea.

I loved and hated Korea, beautiful, but dirty at the same time. And that kimchi smell...

Are you lowering your compression ratio with a thicker head gasket or keeping as is?

Ha. I want to go SC, too. My friend has an old firebird w/ a built motor and SC. Not my platform of choice, but 800whp is 800whp. Incredible.

I'm thinking I'd be somewhere close to 500whp with a vortech and some fuel system upgrades.

Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Sometimes I wish I had and LS engine too, haha. Those thing produce so much power so easily. I'm not shooting for too much power so hopefully the end result won't give me too much long term headaches.

ETA for my project is by the end of the year, that'd be a nice xmas present to myself. SC is mounted and most of the piping are pretty much laid out already. Other then that cams and water injection are the other remaining things to be done. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm pretty sure you can guess. BTW,it might be something you can buy later on, that should give you a good idea on what it is.
