sick build and video, definitely gonna keep up with this thread. glad i can find a review on the PBM coilovers, looking at getting them and the super angle kit when i can afford it. lol. How is the welded diff holding up with the torque? Just wondering cause my friends has his welded on his 240 and i heard that the torque on the 350 would snap the weld on the diff?

THanks man! Yeah, I would definitely recommend the PBM coilovers just make sure you get your arms so you can align it. Yeah I was looking at the PBM super angle kit too! I'm going to have my buddy Russell do it instead though, he does some beast work and is just up in Austin. And as far as welded diffs so far mine has held up fine. As long as you have someone who knows what they're doing your diff should have no problems, I decided to go welded because the guy I had weld mine has welded tons of diffs on tons of different 240's, from stock KA's to 300+ whp SR20 ones. When I talked to him he said the only time he's had a diff break is when the person put super heavy 20"+ wheels on. But so far I love it! People will give you **** and say you're being "ghetto" or whatever and ruining your Z but bleh. I personally like it.

Not much has been going on, so lemme start off with Happy Holidays! Got tools for Christmas, and didn't get drunk for New Years. Sorry for failing :P

My new exhaust finally finished arriving, I have some cell phone pics but I'll have to post those up later, it's 3:31AM and I want to sleep. It's an Exoticspeed R1-T with Y-pipe, and is quite sexy. Quality is top notch and I LOVE the look and design of it, I cannot wait to get it on the car and hear it. Plus, then I can drive up to Austin to get the car tuned!

[ insert crap picture of new exhaust here ]

And then other than that, I did an oil change, discovered my driver side rear axle's boot is ripped in half and put my kit on the car finally. It's been on for a day now, and so far the bumper has come off only..... once. This is my first time driving a car around with a kit, so I definitely have some learning to do. It looks incredible though! Big props to Qieque for doing an awesome job with the paint.

Exterior goes as follows:
JP Vizage Type N front bumper
Shine-made Vertex replica sideskirts
Chargespeed Rear bumper replica

Really happy with how it turned out, even if some of the fitment was doodoo (mainly the rear bumper). And now, I go to sleep and dream of opening the package up containing my new hydro e-brake when it arrives. I'll edit this tomorrow with some more info on some stuffs thats been goin down, but until then I hope everyone's having a good first week of 2012!

yeah definitely going to buy the camber kit as a whole. my buddy has coilovers on his 240 right now and didnt have the money for a camber kit and goes through tires like crazy cause of the camber. what brand rear camber arms did you go with in the rear? im looking at some SPL ones right now but they are like $245 (ive heard their prone to bend or even worse break if you overshoot a drift and land in the dirt) their a bit thicker, titanium, and adjustable. btw thanks for the info on the welded diff, i could care less what people say it saves you $1500 lol

Thanks dude! Like I've told all of my friends I say I hate the car all the time but in reality if I didn't love it to pieces I would have sold it a looong time ago. I swear its more high maintenance than a girl that goes to Harvard and whose parents pay for everything.

And I will for sure! Right now some friends and I are working on a little downtime video since there aren't any events for another two months or so, not gonna have any drift action but it should at least be some entertainment.

Good man! I got full SPL arms, they're across their nextdoor from UpRev so when I got back from Virginia and went to pick up my car I just walked next door to pick the arms up. Super cool and very nice guys, which reminds me I need to e-mail them about snagging a sticker because I'd absolutely love repping such an awesome company. And no problem dude! Yeah seriously, and either way it feels completely fine. The only real difference between welded and an expensive diff is an expensive diff is much smoother during transitions, welded is a bit more harsh. But I like it

So....

First round of Lonestar Drifit series is announced! Super stoked for my first Lonestar Drift season, gonna be making it out there with around 4-5 of my friends from here in San Antonio so we'll definitely try to be putting out a good showing. It'll be two Q45's, my Z, and a VH45 s13 tandeming from San Antonio alone so that should be boss. Must remember to watch out for the Q's, if we crash into eachother they're damn boat selves will be completely fine :P

On a different note, the cars been up on jack stands in the front of the house for the past 2 - 3 days because the starter decided to give out when I went to BJ's to have dinner with a friend and his girlfriend. Then, after push starting it on the drive home my power steering went out. So... I must remember to thank my dear Z for that precious little experience. Yesterday got the starter on but didn't have the right size socket to get one of the hoses off of the power steering, so after going to Smoke 'Em motorsports 3 times to try and find the right socket, I finally got it and am gonna put it on today... le sigh -_-

Oh and ordered some presents for myself I'll let you guys in on when they get here

As much as I love that rear bumper I agree. I think it should look better when I paint the diffuser black, but I feel ya. It actually partially ripped off leaving the shop (dirt road with ridiculous rocks, you have to know the path through or else you're entire kit and oil pan is screwed) one night cause apparently I had parked over a giant rock I'd never seen before, and then finished ripping itself off when the crack that developed from that rock broke due to stress while leaving my buddies apartments. Got the stock rear bumper on until I re-glass the other bumper, but I think I like the stock rear bumper look even more.

Thanks a ton! Feels amazing, I still remember the exact feeling I got when we turned it on after piecing it together. Best I've felt in a long time!

So finally an update, I got a new exhaust on it last Friday and then on Monday got it tuned! Stopped by SPL as well while I was at UpRev and snagged many a bushings!

Always stoked to get stuff from SPL, they're a fantastic company and great guys!

I absolutely love this exhaust, the sound it puts out is incredible mixed with the custom 2.5" test pipes and OBX headers. Sounds completely different under half throttle than it does under full throttle. Plus it's loud as hell

255 whp, 235tq on a DynoJet, 71 degrees 53% humidity for all of you figure buffs.

Pleased with the results, considering it's a stock block and head. Only non bolt-on mod I have is the RevUp motors fuel rail and injectors. Thank God I got there when I did, the base pull wasn't a full pull and only wielded 216 whp 230tq or something, he stopped the pull because it was so lean it scared him. And to think I've been drifting it .

Also got to get some of my wheels painted, they came out really good for a rattlecan job. Gonna wait to finish for a couple days, my buddy Nick and I are gonna go on a painting spree and paint all of his wheels orange and all of mine (except for the Grid's) this same blue.

And finally, got a little something you guys might enjoy. Found a use for my old driver seat! As some of you guys might know I'm a huge advocate for simulators, it's how I practice and how I learned a lot of techniques.. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I recently got a Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel for a great price, so we crafted this little gem. Gonna make 2 more to go with my other two wheels to have some badass three-car action. Nerd mode, activate.

I have better pictures somewhere on my laptop or on cards somewhere, but these cell phone pics will have to do for now. After I've returned to Texas I've gotten so unorganized it's not even funny, can't find half of my **** anywhere and lost a couple harddrives and thumb drives, and now I have to go to California next week for more work so I have no idea where any of my things are. My head just feels clouded as hell from trying to find everything, but promise I'll be back to taking better and more in depth pics with my camera soon!

Thanks dude.

Went to Round 1 of Lonestar Drift at GGP. Sh*t was hittin the fan. Finally got to get back to TX in time do an event in the Z, first time doing some Texas tandem. Such a blast, had some awesome close runs with my friend Mario in his HR Z33 during practice, then got to drift against my friend who was kind of my motivation for deciding to compete during the first competition run. I qualified 16th, he qualified 1st, so we were the first match up. Good god 1JZ s14's are quick. Anyway, here's what's been going down.

Painted some of my drift spares for the event. These are just some random Konig's I bought off a friend who is an assistant manager at Discount Tire, got 4 for $200. I actually really like them. Going to repaint when it's less windy so the wind doesn't waste a whole can of paint and it actually gets on the wheel.

Getting my buddy Ryans car on his trailer. We decided to go all out with the vinyl cutter and rice our cars out for this event. Why not?

Awww ricegasm. Notice the flying rainbow **** decal we cut and put on his headlight when he was out at the store. Teeheehee.

Why must I be so short?

Favorite picture due to the lady in the background covering her ears for dear life as I go by. Epic win.

Car performed like a boss all day, still got a lot to practice and do, but for the most car it's pretty damn solid. Decided to compete after I had lunch and qualified 16th, went up against the 1st place qualifier Fielding Shredder and after going one more time he pulled out the victory, but had a blast nonetheless and can't wait for the next event. I just want to tandem more, during practice my friend Mario and I were starting to get pretty damn close in our Z's. I for sure need to practice my left foot braking and dial in my suspension a tad bit more.

Here are some videos from the event that I'm in:

Fun weekend. Took off the vinyls yesterday, found out I had barely enough coolant to bathe a snail, so filled 'er up again.

I think I'm just going to stock up on beers and try and knock out a bunch of work to the car this weekend including re-painting the roll cage with a new type of paint that I found, getting rid of some of the wiring I don't need anymore, cleaning up the inside of the car more and looking at other weight I can shed from inside, installing my new SPL bushings, installing my new Tein inner tie rods with steering spacers for moar angle, and lowering the front of the car more. We'll see how much actually gets done, but that's my goal for the next few weekends.

Also, if anyone is interested in my front bumper I think I'm going to sell it. I'd rather have an Origin, the JP Vizage Type N is a bit too aggressive for my taste. Looks awesome, I just want something more subtle now.
