Bump. Got a question guys will be putting the motor back in this weekend wondering how I am going to start it since I will be putting a new ecu in. Do i need to go to the dealer to have them re program it or can I by pass and put a switch on

I would ditch the UR crank pulley for racing and get a good damper.

Did you weld the heater outlet shut?

I was gonna say. The angle just makes it hard to see that its a plate and I thought you just put the bolts back in. I did the same thing on my VQ when I still had one.

FYI, it appears you are installing a VQ35DE Revup, not an HR. Good looking build up though. I too would recommend ditching the UR pulley... ATI would be my suggestion.

As for startup, we can flash your new Revup-capable ECU to disable NATS so you can start/drive it.

For 200$ more you can buy uprev tuner and disable NATS yourself. no need to get a new key or anything, and gives you more options like the ability to get the a/f and cams tuned.

How much weight was the false firewall anyway? i can't imagine its much, but i'm curious. wondering if theres any impact on interior heat without it.

Tuner is $700 including cable last time I checked.

It's $300 to have a pro-tuner flash it for you.
