Default N/A Build 350z 2004 Non rev up

Hi I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I have a 2004 350z base model with the following mods.
AAM plenum spacer
Volant Intake
STILLEN oil cooler
Straightpiped from the cat back.
My upcoming mods will be berk test pipes along with dc ceramic headers.
Im looking for feedback/tips for making more power but also maintaing reliability.
Im looking into getting the MREV2 along with the 75mm nwp throttle body.

Myrev2 doesnt do anything for a non revup. Just get your plenum spacer and port and polish your lower plenum

After further research I saw that the non rev up motors already come with the MREV 2. As for the porting and polishing of the lower plenum, i dont think i will be going that route just yet.
Instead of buying the MREV2 im am now looking into buying an AAM y pipe.

Remember to Get tuned by a reputable dyno shop with experience in Nissan/Infiniti and UpRev Osiris after u install all your parts, assuming you would use UpRev as your reflash software as it is the cheaper alternative from using a standalone.

I was thinking about buying Osiris 's Standard package and having it tuned by them. Theres only 1 tuner for vq motors out here in socal with a good reputation but his prices are insane.. sadly. Will I need a tune after the headers and test pipes?

Yes, you need to tune with any part you add onto your car. You will more than likely be running lean AFRs which is dangerous for ur motor especially at WOT. A small fix to this is to unplug your battery and reset the ECU overnight so it is forced to do its fuel learning tables, but by doing this, the stock ECU can only compensate fuel soo far to a point when a retune is needed.

The shop installing my headers is about 30-40 mins away, will I be fine driving back after the installation? I will be installing the test pipes myself, but hopefully i can get the shop to just install the test pipes free of charge since they are already down there.

You will be fine under normal operation without going wide open throttle.

The tune makes a big difference, just removing the factory throttle restriction makes it a lot more responsive

Looking good, my only concern would be your straightpipe setup giving you more rasp and rattlecan sound/note with no exhaust restrictions. Some like the sound of it, some don't.

Also consider a lightweight flywheel like JWT for better throttle response, faster revs and acceleration. Final drive gearing also helps with acceleration, I had a 3.91 final drive with my Nismo flywheel, full boltons and tune before I went boost and I loved it.

There are 3 solid places for tunes for your DE in SoCal ,

Church automotive (Orange County )
Specialty Z ( northern LA area / SF valley)
Pismo Knights tuner ( Central LA area)

Plenum spacer , headers, test pipes, then Osiris tune your Z and you should be happy with the results.

I would go with a stiffer clutch and lighter flywheel first and wouldn't touch the diff final drive if the Z is your DD , weekend car and your staying n/a then go nuts

Fair warning the test pipes make your Z insanely raspy and loud over 4.5k good luck in SoCal my friend

If it helps any, I know I'm a little late, but I installed myself ngk double platinums, dragon force cops, true duals cat back, plenum spacer, cold air, oil cooler, trans cooler and synthetic everything on my Enthusiast with NO tune and she still doesn't hAve an SES light or any issues. She will tear that vls down the streets and is more responsive than ever. But I haven't tuned her yet and she is a monster

Yeah I am thinking of putting a resonator just to be safe. Since my last post I have purchased an AEM digital afr, Megan racing v2 y pipe, and im in the process of buying my nwp throttle body. My question is, after all these mods and a tune will I atleast be near or in the 300 club? I know its really hard for DE's with non built motors to break the 300 mark. Im only asking because Im having a freindly competition with my buddys Mazda Speed 3.

my friend with an 03, almost all the same mods as you hit 255whp on a mustang... if you add 11% or so which they are supposed to be lower than dynojet will put you at 283 ish on a good day... now if you went hub dyno, which usually read higher side, it may be close.
