I put an inexpensive tarp down and then cardboard to catch everything!

I will update the thread with photos, I've been lazy regarding that

As a mini update, everything was taken down to the machinists back in late Nov.
I bought another (very low mileage) crank, you'll see why in the coming days.
They asked me to take the block back before they did any work to test out the ARP main studs. This was to check if there was any crank-bore distortion (I just used some other used bearings to give me a rough idea with plastiguage). All seemed to check out OK, the measurements seemed right, and pre-plastigauge I checked to see if the crank would turn smoothly, and it did.
The rods were balanced back in Jan, and hopefully by now they've done the block, so I should be able to get on with that part soon enough.

The heads, well I have some options to figure out, as in how far do I want to go (££££).
I'll have a chat with them tomorrow.

Sorry for the lack of photos but they will come !
