Please HELP!!! Lack of Torque on cammed VQ35DE!
Conway is telling you to go with the Kinetix Velocity (we both have it) only cars with stock widebands are HR cars but it's not going to beat an aftermarket setup with a gauge. If anything I would do that first so we know what your AFRs are.
Dark - I can see the exhaust mods done would mess with top end / redline horsepower … but mid range torque shouldnt be negatively effected by an upgraded exhaust??
100% get widebands, plural, one on each bank.
Were all just speculating … you could have issues with your VVT or something else mechanical. All we know is all we know. Do you have any check engine lights on? Any other issues with the car?
You would probably feel the difference between 225ft-lbs and 260ft-lbs.
You will have to pay for a re-tune but it wont be as much as your initial tune as you already have the software.
Yes, do what Conway says… were all telling you to put a OEM manifold and lower plenum back on and report back.

Also what would be better for me, the Kinetix V+ plenum or just my old stock upper plenum? As the chrome Kinetix velocity plenum isn’t going to be an option for me.

Typically test pipes or HFC will have an extra bung for a wideband, you will need the 4 factory and 2 widebands, the widebands will be used for information and tuning mostly but you can setup some to work with Uprev, piggyback or standalone. I don't think you need to go that far TBH, you just need it for info and tuning, I run a Zeitronix ZT-4 setup with the nDash which sits in the dash where the Navigation would be but that setup is a bit expensive, the regular setup with a round dual gauge is about half the price. Do you know if your test pipes have extra bugs?
on the subject of the manifold, I'm conflicted about using the V+ because I'm a mechanic and in my eyes plastic doesn't belong on major engine components, on the other hand it is better than stock. I'll give you 3 options to pick from and you can chose according to your needs:
1. Most high end power with potential sacrifices= Kinetix Velocity
2. Revup lower plenum with either a spacer or V+= more high end at the expense of low end
3. Modified lower (think MREV2) with spacer or V+= most low end (torque) at the expense of high end
I had option 3, now have option 1. Like I said before, still have it if you are interested... if #1 isn't feasible I'd pick #2 as that's the only option that will fully utilize those cams. Do you have the last dyno sheet BTW? That would help with recommendations.

heres my dyno sheet:
Wow, I can see why you say it's smooth.
FWIW, it's a nice powerband, so you have a revup already...is the P&P manifold a DE or Revup unit?
I'd definitely want to see what your AFR is, judging off the dyno alone I'd leave the intake alone if I'm completely honest! Highly suggest LTH, that with a retune should pretty much flatten that 3-4.5k dip and make the car feel so much better.

and Frued, dont go out and buy the Kinetix Velocity…please please please dont go out and buy it. The kinetix you have is just fine.
It's more the fact that the header isn't ideal at scavenging, and the intake can outflow the headers. Nothing about the DCs is good, not the tube size, nor length, not the collector, I would not even call it better than stock. We all know that size, shape, length all matter when it comes to NA and where they make power.
To do this, I would just replace the o2 sensors that plug into my test pipes and replace them with widebands and also hook up a afr gauge on the driver A pillar? Correct?

Just stick with the Kinetix Upper you have.
If you need to borrow an OEM lower plenum and manifold and want to cover shipping with the option to buy from me I have a few of each in the garage. Just shoot me a message.
Dnash brings up a good point - be 100% sure your engine is running healthy.
Cam timing and Variable Cam Timing would be good to check in a datalog
Back when I had the greddy twins my VVT was being spotty during a dyno tune. Without VVT I was down 80ft-lbs of torque, I never realized how important variable cam timing was!

and my P&P parts are DE not revup versions.

I attached a PDF of my data logs from that dyno pull. Not sure if I attached it right but hopefully y’all can view it. Lmk if you can view it
Y’all are awesome for taking the time to try to help me out!
No, my car is an 06 and being a auto it is a regular DE, Not a revup.

I’m at work now, but tonight I’ll hook up the laptop and record a wot data log and I’ll add any/all of the cam option parameters to be recorded on the data log, and I’ll post it tonight or tomorrow morning. 👍
Your AFR needs a bit of work, target should be 12.5:1 and should pretty much stabilize at that point throughout the pull. Ok I'm baffled, I thought that was only the case for the 05, so all autos are DEs?
also seeing as my afr is easily displayed in my data log, do I still need a wideband for my future tuning???
I think it’s safe to say you have wide bands installed in your car. Seeing that you can datalog the wideband signal you should be fine.
Wow, I have missed so much. All 2004.5+ DE's have Widebands in them. If you look at the Oxygen sensor and it has 4 wires it is a narrowband, if it has 6 it is a wideband.
I 100% think you should get rid of the OEM plenum set up and get a Kinetix Velocity. FOR ME, it made more power than 5/16 plenum spacer OEM set up. It is also lighter, stays cooler, and less likely to get a vacuum leak. You have bigger Cams than me which will only make the Kinetix flow that much better at higher RPMs.
Bealljk is a great great guy and 99% I agree with everything he says, just not on the Kinetix plenums. He dislikes them I love 'em.
