I think that we need to come up with a checklist of items that we need to complete to call ourselves a legitimate club.
Once we have done so, we can start to seek sponsors and hopefully leverage our combined buying power to save us some money!
These are some of the things I think we need to acomplish within the next few weeks.
1: Establish a list of members so that we can have an accurate head count.
A roster. Get name, address, telephone, email, year and model of car, date membership started, date it needs to be renewed and birthday.
2: Establish clear guidelines to membership, with minimum participation level. I know sometimes life can get busy, but members should contribute in order to reap the benefit of the club.
Make cards with a club logo on them, date membership expires, and car information with club president or vp signature.
3: Design contest for out logo.
As said above..
4: Elect officers ? (Lek.. does NGC have that?)
President, Vice President, Events Coordinator, Treasurer, Webmaster and so on. ZCCA clubs use all of these above.
5: Establish date for our first meeting.
a. Establish our weekly/bi-weekly? meet location.
Monthly is usually good enough. Set a location, have it like the 2nd Tuesday of the month at a restraunt free party room. Many will allow this as long as you buy food.
I'm tired so I am sure I am forgetting allot. Please add to my list any ideas you may have. we can always remove them later.
