Default Z issues to a newbie

Hi I'm new to the board was and have been a nissan owner for a long time now. I left the Frontier board for the Z board. Mainly cause i got board of a truck that should have been beefier. The Supercharged frontier was a joke to say the least. I'm very happy with my choice. I've gone from 12-15miles per gallon to almost 25. I doubled the quality and perfomance by going this route.

Enough of that.

I've seen three problems on this board that have really stood out to me and i want to know how worried i should be.

I have a 04 enthusiast automatic with all the trimmings.

1. The automatic transmission.
What Percentage of owners have this problem i see a small 4 maybe 5 is this common or what?
Is using the trick shift aide in wearing it out?

2. Tire feathering? Very large subject that we don't need to go into detail. Anyone not experience this problem? like in 20,000 miles? My dad's FX 35 has the 20's on it and his are ready soon it has a super soft compound that wears fast but feathering?

Last

3. The gas filling issue? I had this problem with my Frontier it was some venting BS in the tank. I've filled up 3 times now and one out of the three was a nightmare 10gallons took 20 minutes plus to fill. Should i worry? or try more gas stations.

Thanks for the great forum and your help in advance.

Welcome to the forum man! I can't really answer your tanny question cause I have a manual. As for the tire feathering, a lot of people don't have it. I have it on my Z but I haven't taken it into the dealership to see if they'll do something about it. From what I've heard, most dealerships will replace your tires at least once, but other members will correct me if I'm wrong. Some people fix the problem by getting an alignment, some by getting new tires, and some switch out the entire suspension. As for the gas filling issue, I've heard of a few members with the problem, but I've never had it. You should try to pull the nozzle out slightly and pump slowing, this apparently fixes the problem. Anyway, enjoy your Z man!
