Default New car - New member

Just wanted to say wassup. Just got a new yellow Z a few weeks ago and I love it. I cannot stop myself from spending money on this thing. I see the cost of mods far exceeding the cost of the car and the weird thing is, I DON"T MIND ONE BIT!!!

I'm assuming this lack of financial responsibility is common around here????

So far I have done the following:

20" Enkei 3 Piece LM 3/5L's
Michelin Pilot Sport Tires

18" Volk Te37's (for the track)
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Tires

JIC Coilovers
Nismo Sway Bars
JIC Carbon Fiber Strut Tower
Alpine DVD Player
Sony Playstation

I have ordered a Stillen Supercharger and the carbon fiber hood which is being painted right now. However I wanted a little more HP than the SC has to offer so I'm having a custom pulley machined and a larger fuel pump installed (math says this should give me around 402 to the wheel which is as far as I would want to push that stock engine). Also an AVCR to control that stuff. After that's done in a few weeks, it's on to the audio components! I think I'm excited the most about that!!

The yellow deserves a nice splurge

I think the Kenwood touchscreen DVD/Nav is the best fit out there(Just a suggestion).

Is this going to be a show car? I'll have to come to SD and see it in person sometime. Looks awesome.

I was going to go with that Kenwood but this touchscreen Alpine had WAY more features. Plus I will be using Alpine V12 amps and this head unit allows me to make adjustments to those amps via the touch screen display.

I thought you can get modular pulleys from Stillen which will void the warranty. How much boost do you plan to run?

well we have 2 Stillen kits. 1 on a Z and another on our G35. Both are "Stage 4" with a little bit smaller of a pulley. both cars with exhaust, flywheel, clutch, intake and cams were putting 335 HP to the wheel which is MUCH LESS than what Stillen claims. I think with their "Stage 3" pulley it blows around 7lbs. with the pulley we are having fabricated it should blow around 11-12 lbs. We're obviously going to need more fuel at that point. That's what the bigger fuel pump is for.

Is the design of the intercooler efficient enough to run that much hot boost?

I'm not using a Stillen intercooler. im having one custom made. The reason I'm doing all of this because i LOVE the low end torque that the SC give over turbo's.

Yeah I love the roots type too. Post pics of the IC core when you finish. Also save the template so I can get mine.
