Default New Member - To Z or not to Z

What's up everybody!!!? Just test drove a Z this afternoon. I love the way the car looks. I have just a few questions. Please do not flame, as I am interested in this car.

I currently have a BMW 330i w/Sport Suspension. It is rated at 225 BHP.

Question 1. Do you feel the Z Track truly has 300 hp? Did not feel that much more powerful than my current car.

Question 2. The clutch felt very mushy...is this normal. I went to press it and it took no effort at all...made it very difficult to get any feel from the clutch and almost impossible to accurately slip the clutch.

I ask these questions because I would like to have honest answers. Sometimes the "seat of the pant" dyno can be misleading. The car could accelerate very smoothly and still be hauling ***....my BMW is this way. What's the scoop with the car? Let me know your thoughts.

Neo.....if you are still onthe fence......the overwhelming consensus on this forum is......go with the Z.

If you have another chance to test drive(without a salesman maybe?).....hit your nearest uncluttered hwy(my Z hates traffic!).....keep it 2750 and 5000(redline if you want!)....and thrash it....then come back.......

330 lmao! The Z would smoke that with 5 cylinders. Stay with the BMW.

Race a 350Z with your 330i(cool car by the way but a dime a dozen around here) and you will have your answer.
It puts more power down at the wheels than your car even can at the crank

Z did not feel that fast for me either on the test drive. It has a linear power curve that takes getting used to and it takes a good while to break the engine in.
